This is Virgin records

It is out of The Stones control

I am sure all 7 people that watch that show will love that song

Howe did Richard Branson ever make his billions?

Doubt its anything to do with the record company. No way would that song be licensed for anything without the approval of the writers/publishers

Branson had made his pile by the time he was about 20. He has nothing to do with this as he sold Virgin Records to EMI in 1992 just after he signed the Stones.

This is so lame, its beyond belief. Does this band have ANY standards or respect for their legacy anymore?

Saint Sway's list is pretty damning and sadly accurate. (Ive never heard of that Malibu beach thing, though). He could have added the tie-in with "Beverly Hills 90210" on the Voodoo Lounge tour though

The tampon commercial isnt a bad idea, when you think of it, and would be somewhat appropriate, considering they're making themselves look like a bunch of pussies more and more

Gazza! Man you don't get it either. This is the Stones, man. You have to lower your standards.

Ten Thousand Motels RIP THIS JOINT
(M. Jagger/K. Richards)

Mama says yes, Papa says no,
Make up you mind 'cause I gotta go.
I'm gonna raise hell at the Union Hall,
Drive myself right over the wall.

Rip this joint, gonna save your soul,
Round and round and round we go.
Roll this joint, gonna get down low,
Start my starter, gonna stop the show.
Oh, yeah!

Mister President, Mister Immigration Man,
Let me in, sweetie, to your fair land.
I'm Tampa bound and Memphis too,
Short Fat Fanny is on the loose.
Dig that sound on the radio,
Then slip it right across into Buffalo.
Dick and Pat in ole D.C.,
Well they're gonna hold some shit for me.

Ying yang, you're my thing,
Oh, now, baby, won't you hear me sing.
Flip Flop, fit to drop,
Come on baby, won't you let it rock?

Oh, yeah! Oh, yeah!
From San Jose down to Santa Fe,
Kiss me quick, baby, won'tcha make my day.
Down to New Orleans with the Dixie Dean,
'Cross to Dallas, Texas with the Butter Queen.

Rip this joint, gonna rip yours too,
Some brand new steps and some weight to lose.
Gonna roll this joint, gonna get down low,
Round and round and round we'll go.

Wham, Bham, Birmingham, Alabam' don't give a damn.
Little Rock and I'm fit to top.
Ah, let it rock.

yeah that ones worthy of making the list

some others that are hovering on the fringes of the list:
• the Fox/7-11 Steel Wheels 3-D glasses promo
• The Simpsons episode (I know some liked this. But the Stones are so above this. Note To Mick: Its OK to say "no")
• Whoopi.
• the Paula Abdul cartoon cats in the "Harlem Shuffle" video.
• Dan Akroyd Voodoo Lounge VH1 promo (the scene alone of Akroyd dancing with a lawn mower while the Stones rehearse at RFK still gives me night sweats)
• tour sponsor: Jovan Musk.
• sampling Biz Markie

most of this shit is fine for other bands. Hell, Kiss, Bon Jovi & Aerosmith can whore themselves all they want bc their music isnt credible or relevent. But the Stones matter. They're fucking ICONS! They're the Worlds Greatest R&R Band - still! All this shit is so beneath them. They just dont need it. Which only makes it more embarrassing.

If you dont need the money, it makes it easy to take the high road.

hawking your shit on Soap Opera??? C'mon, thats SO Michael Bolton.

when the Stones were broke in the 60s they had the right attitude.

now that their billionaires they're acting like pussies.

Bloozehound is right. Bring on the tampon commercials!

But wouldn't that be the Rolling Stones cats in the Paula Abdul video?
