North Korea said Monday it had conducted its first nuclear weapons test. The text of the announcement by the country’s official Korean Central News Agency follows. The formal name for North Korea is the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea or DPRK and KPA refers to the Korean People’s Army.

We said it's unacceptable

Now what??

jb This is a very bad thing. Instead of go after the real threats, like N. Korea and Iran, we are stuck in Iraq .

That clown of a president allowed this to happen without even a shot fired. WTF?

Rev Twenty Redlights The phrase "A Bigger Bang" was originated by US Defense
Secretary Charles Wilson in 1954. He said the US would
get a bigger bang for the buck if it spent less on
conventional weapons and more on nuclear ones. There
are additional unreleased lyrics for "Sweet Neocon",
reported in the press prior to the album's release,
that include "Is it time for the atomic bomb, my sweet
neocon?" The album cover can be interpreted as a
pictorialization of the phrase, "letting the nuclear
genie out of the bottle". I, like Mick, fear this
North Korean thing is not the biggest bang we will
be hearing in the coming days. Let's hope we're wrong.

I would not doubt it. It has to be Clinton's fault that North Korea tested a nuclear weapon in late 2006. No way is George Walker Bush III to blame for doing jack squat on his watch.

jb why did Bill Clinton give NK the material to build nukes?

And why did he not insist that part of the agreement include verification that they were not using the material for weapons?

Gives them material to build nukes with no verification. Zero. Nada.

He trusted North Korea!

Thanks Bill

What a legacy that man has

sirmoonie This North Korea thing is so much more dangerous than terrorism - think of those whackos with nuclear weapons.

Lets just pray they faked it and really blew up a bunch of dynamite. A nuke North Korea is horrific to contemplate - thanks goober!

Chuck The elevator shoes are way out of fashion too---not that they ever were in fashion---and look like orthopedic nun shoes. Maybe KJI should wear cowboy boots, like other guys who have a raging short-man complex but at least try to be stylish.
