Ten Thousand Motels Sirius, CBS set to air Boss interviews
Asbury Park Press
10/6/07

Sirius Satellite Radio will rebroadcast an interview with Bruce Springsteen and rock historian Dave Marsh on "E Street Radio" (Channel 10) at 6 p.m. today.

Springsteen will discuss "Magic," his new album with the E Street Band.

Marsh has written four books about Springsteen, including the best-sellers "Born to Run" and "Glory Days." He is the host of "Kick Out the Jams With Dave Marsh" on Sirius Stars (Channel 102) and also contributes to E Street Radio.

The E Street Radio channel will run through March with daily features on "Magic," guest DJs and archival Springsteen concerts dating back to 1973.

In other Springsteen news, CBS' "60 Minutes" will air an interview with the Jersey Shore-based musician during this weekend's episode, airing at 7:30 p.m. Sunday on Channels 2 and 3.

In his conversation with "60 Minutes" correspondent Scott Pelley, Springsteen talks about songwriting, performing and patriotism.

"I believe every citizen has a stake in the course, direction of their country," Springsteen tells Pelley. "That's why we vote. . . . It's unpatriotic at any given moment to sit back and let things pass that are damaging to some place that you love so dearly and that has given me so much."
