Poison Dart The Stones posted more than a half a billion dollars in sales the ABB tour according to Billboard.

More than 4.6 million people paid to see the Stones on the ABB tour. That doesn't count the 1 million + people who saw them in Rio.

All in all it appears the Stones were not playing to "Wide Open" stadiums around the world.

Not bad for a bunch of guys pushing 70.

Ten Thousand Motels
That's an awful lot of money. Even though that's not net for the Stones themselves, they're comfortable.

glencar This thread is somewhat underwhelming.

pdog The fact they made so much money, and delivered a few half ass shows, is the reason I'm done going to their shows...

I'm not spending that kinda money anymore to see any band...

glencar I'll cut back too but I'll probably still do Chicago Summit if it happens. It's more about the friendship than the band, frankly.

I beleive that too, the friendships are binding force, so I'm expecting a few people to head out here for the next tour, then I'll know who my real friends are....
4th October 2007 01:23 PM
Saint Sway the only thing they're good for these days is setting $$$$$$$$$ records

would be nice if they were voted "Best Live Band" or "Best New Album"... but thats not what they're about anymore...

thats it... I'm getting the SS outta here

Steel Wheels I'll pony up the bread for all new concerts, albums, DVDs, documentaries, books...

I have emotional problems and the Stones are the only cure.
