Start Me Up Hi all
I just uploaded MP 3 files of several songs from Toronto Palais Royale Ballroom show in the excellent soundboard recording at my web-page. This web page is still under construction. But this stuff is too good to be true. I really want to share with as many people as possible.

If you want to hear or download these files,
Please check and download them as soon as you can. It can be downloaded for the limited time.

Just jump to the following page

http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Part/6384/top.htm

Then Click "North American Tour" on the left corner to go to "Reference Page".

Then click the songs on "Aug 16 Toronto Palais Royale Ballroom" list.

Hurry but don't forget to enjoy the music

Sincerely
Koichi

Looks like somebody changed the password to my locker and started editing my MP3 files???????

Yes my locker is so messy but why????

I really don't understand. Maybe I should report it to MY PLAY site for breaking in and stealing my locker.

In any case, I reset the whole setting as before.

Start Me Up Hi Sorry guys

I don't understand this????
Did he change the registered e-mail address so quick??
Or is this my play's problem???????

Each time I asked my play to re-issue my password to my locker. I got this message saying I should re-check my e-mail address. So EVEN "I" cannot even have an access to my OWN locker.

I have already reported to My Play site. Until I find out the problem and fix it, Please enjoy listening to these music through my web-page:

http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Part/6384/top.htm

I bet I should look for a free MP3 file storage. Does anyone know the good site???

Sincerely
Koichi

stonesmik The sound of these recordings is absolutely fantastic! Best sound recordings from the 2002 tour so far. I needed to have them files. Because I couldn't download them directly from the locker I figured out a way how to capture them from the audio streaming:

1. Go to "C:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files" and remove all the files that can be removed (you can't remove index.dat)

2. Choose one of the following links to start the audio streaming of a song:

It's only rock'n'roll - no stream
Sad, sad, sad - no stream
If you can't rock me - http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/now_playing.jsp?plid=553681&start=1
Stray cat blues - http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/now_playing.jsp?plid=553683&start=1
Hot stuff - http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/now_playing.jsp?plid=553684&start=1
Don't stop - no stream
Honky tonk women - No stream
Torn and frayed - http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/now_playing.jsp?plid=553685&start=1
Wild horses - no stream
Happy - http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/now_playing.jsp?plid=553686&start=1
Can't turn you loose - http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/now_playing.jsp?plid=553687&start=1
Heart of stone - http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/now_playing.jsp?plid=553688&start=1
Can't you hear me knocking? -
http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/now_playing.jsp?plid=553689&start=1
Brown sugar - no stream

All these links can be found at at http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Part/6384/top.htm

3. As soon as your media player opens as fast as possible click the STOP button of your player (but don't stop the player program!)

4. Go to "C:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files" and copy the new file with the .m3u extension to a another directory, e. g. C:\

5. Add the extension .txt to the .m3u file, so now it is called for example 553685[1].m3u.txt

6. That renamed file can now be opened with your text editor. You will see an URL with a very long authentication string like this: http:// bc02.myplay.com/c/whisper/mp/q77RKtEqQkTy0J50fOvxTC7F2w2mj-4kpsd_NpzPN1J6lsSw_uQ_zxSLHTC51AEIrUQs0jncfz8-l4UxFOPlq7bO-K2vzqxA/to1.mp3

7. Copy that URL and add it to your download manager, e. g. I use the Download Accelerator, and watch as the download progresses.

Unfortunately this method has two disadvantages: It always cuts off a tiny little bit at the beginning of your .mp3 file. And the maximum size of each file is 2940 MB - if the song is longer it will stop there. Can anyone tell me why this happens? (btw - strangely enough I could download 3528 MB of "Heart of stone" but all other files had exactly the size of 2940 MB)

If you have a better way to grab streaming audio files from MyPlay, please e-mail me.

F505 Incredible sound!!!! Really amazing! A pity you can't download the songs unless you are a sort of mp3-nerd.
Is there no solution?
10-06-02 06:27 PM
Miss U. Start Me Up or STonesMic....

Why don't you guys put this hot stuff on CD-R for us here??!! We would appreciate it.

At the very least, I would damn appreciate it, as I'm from Toronto, and never got in to the place nor could I hear any music from my spot outside the Palais while I was waiting from about 11 AM to 11 PM outside!!!
This is already being treed at Shidoobeeland, so why not here as well??!!!!

Thank you!

stonesmik Stray cat blues: http://www.geocities.com/jimfiji/straycatblues.mp3

PS: I'm sorry but these guys at Yahoo/Geocities keep telling me "access has exceeded its allocated data transfer. Access to this site will be restored within an hour. Please try again later." It's a free site so I can't do anything about it. It seems you guys out there have just sucked up my free bandwidth of 5GB a month :-)

TheSavageYoungXyzzy So good... so gooooooooood....

And is it any coincidence that two of the three big songs the Blues Brothers covered ("Everybody Needs Somebody To Love" and "I Can't Turn You Loose") were originally cover songs that The Stones did as well?

Man, how is "I Can't Turn You Loose" doing on tour? I'd love to hear this one, certainly over "Love Train".

stonesmik No coincidence. The Blues Brothers were a joke, virtually a "Saturday night live" spin off with comedians Aykroyd and Belushi (the great Elwood and his brother Jake) being the front men plus the band of Booker T. & the MGs. The very same band had originally backed tons of the soul singles that the Stones had covered in the sixties: Carla Thomas, Rufus Thomas, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Sam & Dave, William Bell, Albert King... Under the name The Markeys they have also recorded some more singles like "Last night" or "Soul finger"

Booker T. & the MGs originally were:
- Booker T. Jones (keyboards)
- Steve Cropper (guitar)
- Donald "Duck" Dunn (bass)
- Al Jackson jr. (drums)

With the exception that they had no singer of their own they were bigger than the Stones if you look on what hits they have played:
- "Green onions" (covered by the Stones as "Stoned")
- "Walking the dog" (covered by the Stones)
- "Pain in my heart" (covered by the Stones)
- "Land of 1000 dances"
- "In the midnight hour"
- "Knock on wood"
- "If you need me" (covered by the Stones)
- "(Sittin' on the) Dock of the Bay"
- "Mustang Sally"
- "Funky broadway"
- "Soul man"
- "Hold on I'm coming" (recorded by the Stones in 1968)
and many more that I don't have the time to write down. Listen to 60s Stax soul and you listen to to Booker T. & the MGs. They virtually invented the "Memphis sound".

montana there's another easy way to get the files to download them
well that's the way i did it. When you click in the link in koichi's site, some windows open and (at least that happens to me) winamp player opens too and the song began to play, click in the song in the playlist with the right bottom and choose FILE INFO and the url of the mp3 is there. copy it and paste it in some place (i have use outlook for example and paste it in a message and save it) then click with the right bottom in that url and click save target as. and DONE IT!

i think this is easier
get luck, Lour
10-07-02 09:10 AM
stonesmik Thanks, montana. Yes, your way to get the authentication string is easier. 4 steps instead of 7. Using montanas tip you can grab the streams like this, if you've got the Winamp player (get it at http://www.winamp.com/ ):

1. Choose one of the following links to start the audio streaming of a song:
It's only rock'n'roll - no stream
Sad, sad, sad - no stream
If you can't rock me - http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/n...=553681&start=1
Stray cat blues - http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/n...=553683&start=1
Hot stuff - http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/n...=553684&start=1
Don't stop - no stream
Honky tonk women - No stream
Torn and frayed - http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/n...=553685&start=1
Wild horses - no stream
Happy - http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/n...=553686&start=1
Can't turn you loose - http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/n...=553687&start=1
Heart of stone - http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/n...=553688&start=1
Can't you hear me knocking? -
http://www.myplay.com/mp/playlist/n...=553689&start=1
Brown sugar - no stream

All these links can be found at at http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown...rt/6384/top.htm

2. As soon as the Winamp player opens as fast as possible click the STOP button of your player (but don't stop the player program!). This is important because otherwise the stream will play on and you can only download the end of the song if anything.

3. Go to the Winamp playlist and rightclick the song you want to download. Under "File info" you will find an authentication string like this: http:// bc02.myplay.com/c/whisper/mp/q77RKtEqQkTy0J50fOvxTC7F2w2mj-4kpsd_NpzPN1J6lsSw_uQ_zxSLHTC51AEIrUQs0jncfz8-l4UxFOPlq7bO-K2vzqxA/to1.mp3

4. Copy that URL with CTRL + C and add it with CTRL + V into the appropriate field of your download manager, e. g. I use the Download Accelerator. Then watch as the download progresses.

Unfortunately this method still has the the mentioned disadvantages: It always cuts off a tiny little bit at the beginning of your .mp3 file. I didn't test about the maximum size of the song (see above).

If you have a better way to get the shit out of MyPlay streaming audio files, please e-mail me.

justforyou Thanks for the winamp tip, but you still gotta be danm fast if you dont want to miss some of the song...

Here is 'If you can't rock me' again: http://www.geocities.com/ripcaster432/03.mp3

Unfortunately geocities only allows files upto 5mb, so if anyone can suggest another place to upload the others please tell me.

The other site I posted should be back up in 9 hours from now, but only 100mb traffic

F505 still too difficult; i wait till the boot appears
