Mick Jagger, in New York yesterday promoting new film Alfie, for which he has co-written and performed the score, is one who has never stopped. Jagger says he still gets the same thrill today when he takes the stage.
"The thing is you never really know what's going to happen. You never know what the audience is going to be like, you never know how they're going to behave, you expect them to do certain things but they don't always do that, and you don't always do the same things that you've done the night before," he said.
Jagger, once the scourge of fathers everywhere, lamented the decline of the rock playboy.
"There aren't any playboys any more. They don't exist any more," he said. "It's rather sad really."
