Jumping Jack Coop's voice has always been an acquired taste and the show details for a full set are usually best viewed in a theater setting, but I am glad the band energy came across well in the large setting.

I am pretty sure the weather was not optimum for singers.

What songs did he play and for how long?

GotToRollMe Great photos, guys. Mick is looking very sharp in his foul weather gear. I hope they're not reverting back to the old setlist though.

Poison Dart JB:

Not for anything, how could a crowd of 50k on a rainy night be a bad thing?

With the exception of U2 is there another band in the world that could even attract 50k people to a concert on a regular basis?

Jeep From Halifax Daily News :

Devoted rock fans chill out – literally
By Allison Chandler
The Daily News

Rain can be a police officer’s best friend. It can also be a concert-goer’s worst enemy.
Chaos never did reign supreme, and traffic snarls and serious emergencies were few during the Concert on the Common, where the partiers’ biggest complaint was the weather.
Medical crews treated about 200 people suffering from mild hypothermia on a rainy 10C autumn evening.
“(Fans) showed up for a late-September concert in Nova Scotia (dressed) for a mid-summer concert in the southern U.S.,” said Andy Boutilier, supervisor for Emergency Health Services.
Concert-goers wearing sandals, tank-tops and shorts were flocking to the medical tents by 7 p.m. because they weren’t prepared, Boutilier said.
Fifteen to 20 people were transported to hospital with such problems as minor fractures, mild hypothermia and alcohol-related conditions.
“The event was well within the realm of normalcy,” said Boutilier, praising his medical team for their preparedness.
Halifax Regional Police Const. Jeff Carr said the night ran smoothly; about 50 people were taken in for public intoxication as of midnight.
“People had a good time and behaved themselves,” Carr said.
He said the rain might have helped keep things calm. Within a half an hour, the Commons was empty, he said.
“A lot of people who enjoyed the concert were very wet and cold and may have gone home that would not have otherwise.”
The after-concert scene wasn’t out of control either.
Bars packed in plenty of excited people, but lineups to get into such popular watering holes as the Dome or Reflections were hardly overwhelming.
Heavy use of pubic transportation kept streets relatively free of traffic and parked cars.
“The buses were good,” concert-goer Lynda Dove said while waiting for a bus on Barrington Street. “But there wasn’t much information about where to get the shuttles.”

Jeep Interesting picture on Chronicle Herald website.
It shows some people watching the concert from their flats.
And on the last balcony, we can see maybe the taper of the next DVD on torrents...or Ebay !

GA was $100.00 plus taxes plus extra surcharges = $116.00.
The bleachers started at $300.00 but were going for half that days before the show.
On the stage was $500.00.

From my understanding, the rain got really heavy towards the end. I don't think they'd do that for just one song, so it must have been the rain.

FotiniD And I take it that Halifax was NOT wide-open, judging by the lack of end-of-world threads on board

Thanks for all photos & video Jeep!

throbby Looks like they're having a good time in the rain as well.

I wonder if they're thinking about ticket sales, missed notes, or flubbed lines? LMFAO

It's all about the energy and charisma coming off that stage. Always has been, always will be.

IORR mentions Halifax capacity as 50.000. Where would they put the extra 10.000-20.000 "expected" jb?

As about the Omaha treatment... Throbby's post says it best.
