stonesmik What is this "Virgin album charts"? Are these the official UK album charts? If you go to http://www.dotmusic.com/charts/top75albums.asp there is still Elvis Presley at the no. 1 spot for week 40 (29.09.2002) and no Stones album in sight. Not yet.
10-05-02 06:32 PM
Poison Dart Are these Virgin charts equal to the American Billboard charts?

With a little luck the Stones will be #1 in the US and the UK.

TO ALL THOSE HATERS OUT THERE,STICK THAT UP YOUR ASS.
10-05-02 08:07 PM
Honky Tonk Man The Virgin Chart is just how many records they have sold in the Virgin records shops. It is not our version of Americas Billboard Chart. 40 Licks is also number 2 on the Woolworths and Sainsburys Chart over here too. Check on the internet for our Official Album Chart

Whatever this statement is worth - does it mean you will stick it up your ass when the next Spice Girls or N'Sync or Britney Spears album will reach no. 1?

Poison Dart Sonesmilk: Are you are fucking idiot or something? Maybe I'll stick it up your ass moron.

Let's see if the Spice Girls or Britney Spears are fighting for #1 or playing to 70,000 people per show in 40 years.
10-06-02 01:36 PM
stonesmik Sounds as if it was YOUR merit that the Stones are a great band. I just won't measure the quality of an album by its chart position.

No, silly! Don't be so sensitive. It means Joey Kramer can stick "40 LICKS", specifically, "40 LICKS", up his arse sideway's. And besides, what's wrong with the Spice Girls? Those chicks had chutzpah and they genuinely knew how to party! The salt of the earth! Nobody likes you, stonesmik.

TheSavageYoungXyzzy Death to American Idol!

Long live THE ROLLING STONES!

And The King, while we're at it... The King is dead! Long live the King!

I guess, while I prefer the artists he covers more than him, he did, as someone earlier told me, open the doors for a lot of people, although I would argue (and did argue, successfully) that The Beatles set a huge standard when they said they wouldn't play The South after their first tour when they noticed all the black people sitting in the back unless the concerts were desegregated. People were still ignorant enough to think Elvis wrote or had some little Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man write those songs.

So, hmm... Elvis and The Rolling Stones duking it out for #1... both of them artists in their forties in terms of releases...

What does this suggest about modern music?

How about it's abject suckage!

Talkin' bout my generation...

-tSYX --- And in the middle of negotions, you break down.
10-06-02 04:46 PM
stonesmik Ok, Mr. Nobody, I like you too. I just hope them Spice Girls albums have them nice gatefold covers and you spread em wide while you shove em up your arse. Ooh well, that feels alright. But don't make such a face!
