parmeda Gerardo...
Thank you for re-posting this information.
I won't miss this opportunity for the world...call it "being at the right place at the right time".
I will be certain to give you a heads-up once I return.

Tom No, you're kidding, is that Gered Mankowitz? He looks very young, especially for a guy who worked with the Stones in the early sixties!

Soul Survivor To me he looks up there.....

but thats just me......

Child of the Moon I thought it was kind of interesting that another photographer is up there with those guys, if only represented by his work - the picture Baron Wolman is holding was, if I'm not mistaken, taken by the late Michael Cooper. That makes Stevie smile.

VoodooChileInWOnderl Yes it is a Michael Cooper masterpiece, byw, the only "late" there!

parmeda Thanks Voodoo...
For the "heads ups" on this one.

I was in the DC area this past weekend and made it my business to stop by the gallery. I met and talked with Chris (the gentleman responsible for the 40 X 20 book) and he was a pleasure to meet and quite the host.

What a display of photography...I was in awe.

I wasn't able to purchase his book...they were sold out. He did tell me that they can now be purchased thru Barnes & Noble (guess where I'm going soon). However, I did purchase a book from Gered Mankowitz (signed by him, of course) that I will treasure. There was one photo in particular that I've seen a gazillion times in magazines and the likes, but to see "IT" was overwhelming. I wanted to cry when I saw the price tag posted next to it. Who knows...maybe one day I'll hunt it down.

I'm not sure if anyone else was, or will be able to go and see the gallery...I am so pleased that I did.

Thanks again Voo...

Pam
