FrankiePeppers Just off the top of my head, I'm sure there are many fine examples:

Monkey Man - Goodfellas - Pittsburgh cocaine trafficking scene

honorable mention:
Satisfaction - Apocalypse Now - water skiing scene.
30th September 2006 09:04 AM
M.O.W.A.T. Air America - Gimme Shelter (when the plane is landing to pick up some refugees while a battle is occurring between the Vietnamese army and opium growers)

Blow - CYHMK (classic!)

Up the River - CYHMK (hilarious parody of Blow)

It's a superb tune for the credits. I totally agree.

This is it. A chilling scene. The Stones were as salacious as it could get on JJF.

Gimme Shelter A live version of "Gimme Shelter" in "Casino".
30th September 2006 02:49 PM

Jakeb206 Yep, Have to agree! Street Fighting Man in V fo Vendetta!
30th September 2006 04:31 PM
Honky Tonk Man I'm sure there are far better examples, but I liked the use of Paint It Black at the end of Devils Advocate.
30th September 2006 04:51 PM
GotToRollMe I know there are better instances (some of which have been posted in this thread), but the one that springs immediately to mind and which I absolutely LOVE is "Jumping Jack Flash" at the end of "Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas."

Edit: Just saw lotsajizz's post. Yep, "Fear And Loathing" - one of the most underrated, ignored movies of its time - a jewel. Depp, DelToro, and Gilliam all deserved Oscars for that one.

pdog Best use of an Exile On Main St. shirt... first few seconds!
FYI, after that, watch at your own risk... This is supershitty guerilla filmmaking and I'm on no way endorsing anyone ever watch this!

I've heard that flick is unwatchable. True?
5th October 2006 12:13 AM
glencar I would agree with CYHMK in Blow's opening scene.
