Topic: Mick's Latest Humiliation Return to archive

glencar I watched EXTRA just now because there was a heads up alert on Shiiiddoonebbeee & boy! is Mick humiliating himself again! He blathers on about howe he quite liked a Justin Timberlake concert on "the TV." I shall take a pass on the Shine A Light movie & I will pass on upcoming concerts.

luxury1 Oh stop it, Glennie,--you know you will be at MSG. And who hasn't humiliated themselves at times??
Maybe the guitar players in Justin's band were actually playing their instruments and Mick was enjoying that aspect of his show.

glencar LOL Of course I will. Although I do have palns to visit France right at tax time. I'm hoping the SAL premiere gets pushed back a bit farther. I actually caught a few minutes of the JT show (it's on HBO all month) & I thought it sucked. It's all image & the music is low on the priority list.

guitarman53 When the Sars concert happened here in Toronto, he (Justin) was booed badly, Jagger came out & told the audience to cool it, mentioned that he (Justin) paid his own way here, I'm certainly not a fan of Justin Timberlake or whatever his name is, but Jagger seems to take a liking to him.

glencar I thought Keith defended JT & that was more with scowls? BTW The reporter was some black guy named AJ Holloway & he was horrid!

pdog Mick likes Justin, Justin fucked Britney, Britney has two kids with K-Fed, K-Fed makes crap music too!

Steel Wheels I still don't understand why the Stones are crucified for appearing with JT. It was for charity - they didn't record a fucking album with him.

Saint Sway lets not be too harsh on Mick. I feel bad for him. I recently saw on TV that theres a bunch of hooligans that are plotting to rob him

mickmask I'll say it again...
He's a smart man.
Mick will duet with anyone that he knows is cutting edge, in the 'now' and who he believes has a longstanding future in the industry.
I think he picks and chooses very carefully.
Some friends of mine that are releasing a new album soon explained to me that the largest target group for cd sales fall between the ages of 16 to 24.
..guess what age group tends to dig Justin Timberface??

People can say what they like...yes J. T. did get booed that day at Sarstock..but if you could've seen the kids faces around me in the crowd when he walked out on that stage...well it pretty well explained Jaggers motives perfectly.
