Honky Tonk Man They have announced dates for their up coming US tour. Not sure if they are on sale yet, but they are well worth checking out. Their UK and Europeon dates go on sale on friday. Two shows at the Alexandra Palace in London. Due to the fact they are so popular, they are playing slightly larger venues this time round. Im working that day, im taking the gamble of handing my Visa card to my brother. If he screws up im going to kill him!

09-25-03 02:45 PM
Child of the Moon American, actually.
09-25-03 02:46 PM
jb I don't believe that for one moment....I think you cofusing them with "The Hives".
09-25-03 02:51 PM
Factory Girl I love the freakin' Strokes!!! I think they have a great sound! They're coming to Catonsville, MD, which is 1 hour from me.

jb, the Hives are Swedish. Strokes are American.

You're just yanking our chain, Boca-boy.

Honky Tonk Man Yes they are American, but the big thing about them is that they are from New York. They are a great band. A bit TOO stylish i think, but they look cool and "Is This It" is a fine debut.

I actually think that the US has a had a bit of a shitty deal with the Strokes. You don't get the original artwork on the album and "New York City Cops" isn't on it

My only Strokes disappointment-why would a fine fresh stud muffin Fab Morretti date a chubby slag Drew Barrymore???

Honky Tonk Man I DIDN'T GET TICKETS!

They must of sold out in under 5 minutes! Two shows, thats ridiculous! I may head up there on the day and buy a couple off a tout. I really need to see The Strokes. They are the one band left i REALLY want to see.

I agree FG. I also don't know why he is dating her. I WOULD DATE HER, but he can do better.

purrcafe The Strokes a way too derivative for my taste, like they purposely set out to be a "New York" band. Much ado about nothing. When I want to hear Lou Reed, I'll stick with the original, thanks.
