jpenn11,
Thanks for the kind words! I wish I had better news for you on this one but its starting to look more and more like a hoax...a friend of mine sent him stuff for a "trade" over a week ago and got this email from John today:
I understand your excitement. a bunch went into this
afternoons mail. I believe you made the cut. If not Im
positive tomorrow's PO run will have yours in it. I
had no idea what a stir this would cause so Im working
as hard as I can for everyone!! Have you sent
anything down to me yet????? I havent recieved a thing
from you. Hope to soon. Let me know when you get your
show.
- Yours John
I hope I'm wrong but this one smelled from the beginning and now its really starting to stink...NOBODY has as yet recieved anything from him. |

Hi all, This hasn't looked good from the start. The fact he wanted $25 off people for a copy was dubious, if he was a real fan and follows the boards like we do it would have been treed immediately. Incidentally, he wanted Bridges To Bremen off me for a copy of the Phoenix show. I doubt I'll see it now though! I hope i have to eat humble pie for a month, but i doubt it! |

From DimeDozen:Banned Yes
TORRENT BANNED FROM DIME!
Uploader has noticed diginoise in the files not present on the DAT and attributable to transfer errors. A corrected repost is coming soon
#656517 by ademotte at 2005-09-11 19:05:36 GMT
So, it appears I was too hasty with this one - I just burned myself a copy off the FLACs and found diginoise on half the tracks. I'm not sure what happened in the transfer process, but this FLAC set sounds nothing like my master DAT. I'm going to cancel this torrent and start over, and re-post this evening. I feel bad about this; I've torrented more than a hundred shows, and this has never happened to me before.
Very sorry for the inconvenience! Keep an eye on the board; I should put the revised version up in a few hours.

Comments: To those who tried to grab my earlier torrent, sorry for the misfire -- I'm not sure what happened. I started over on transferring this from my master DAT to my hard drive. If you started downloading earlier, DELETE THE ORIGINAL FILES FROM THAT TORRENT. They will not work here. Unfortunately, you have to start over.
Last night was a good show, with a good mix of rarities and standards; the band was in great spirits and put on a much more high-energy performance than two nights earlier in Milwaukee.
This was recorded about 1/3 of the way back on the club level. There is minimal crowd interference, although the first couple of songs are a little rough as the mix was tweaked and the crowd rushed to their seats (the band came on earlier than most were expecting). There is some audience talking, but is mostly noticeable only between songs -- for the most part, the people around me were quite respectful for a stadium show. The mix is surprisingly good for where I was sitting; the high frequencies have some harshness that I wasn't skilled enough with an EQ to completely eliminate.
Altogether, a nicer recording than the Milwaukee show I posted yesterday. Even though I was further back, it sounds more immediate and less distant. I'm sure there will be better sources over time (the sound was phenomenal) but since this is a decent recording in its own right I thought I would post it now for the people anxious to hear it.
