score another round to Sir Paul in the never-ending battle between the Beatles vs Stones
thats right... he out did them again!
I thought the Stones Ameriquest ads were the lamest rock ads of all time...
until I saw Macca's Fidelity ad!!!
as the voice over says "when your ready to invest think Fidelity..." with a medley of bad McCartney songs playing and footage of him bouncing onstage.... YUP! Thats as bad as it gets!
WTF does a McCartney concert have to do with Fidelity Bank??
remember this is the guy that whined about Jacko selling his song to a sneaker company. I guess his songs arent meant to sell sneakers but if hes the one receiving the check then his songs were born to advertise an investment center?? I dunno? Fuckin hypocrite!
McCartney's an ass!

40 some odd years later, and Stones' fans are still divided against Macca? Too bad, actually, as Jenny Wren, from the new album, is a top pop song and better than anything off of ABB (although I simply love ONNYA and LIND). We gotta get together and love them both. |

Why do we? I hate him. I hate his wife. I hated his other wife. I hate his kids. I hate his music. I hate his bulging eyes. I hate his blandness. I hate everything about him.
Most of all, I HATE THE BEATLES! |

You hate his "blandness"? Well, then you must certainly hate 85% of A Bigger Bang..... |

I know that this post is a comparison of how lame the adverts were. However I do think if you were to run a survey. The majority of people would say that The Rolling Stones are a much more credible musical enterprise than Macca. |

I always thought it was "Mull of Kintire"
Mull is slang for Marijuana in Australia.
So Maca was singinging about some really good weed in Kintire.
I have said it before, but you'd think Maca could pull a bird with 2 legs, I mean hes half handsome and all. |

I think Macca got caught at an airport with some weed in his suitcase in the 70's if I remember rightly. Maybe someone will know more detail. So Yeah I guess Paul was fond of a toke on the 'water filtered smoking device'

I can't believe I've avoided this bash macca thread for so long. I guess I just haven't been that uptight and stressed out lately. Macca bashing is a very healthy therapy to relieve tension and reduce anxiety. Plus it's fun.
