I outlined a story for a novel, I never even came close to writing, over 20 years ago. It's based on eco-terorists, with nukes on the moon, I called it The Lunar Missile Crisis, based on the Cuban one some 40 years plus ago... i never liked the title, and never wrote the book. I know, a bit sci-fi and ghey. Truth be told, Terrorists have frightened me since I was very young. Images of Munich and Nixon resigning are first two geo-political events I realized in my life. Thank god my parents had the coolness to introuce rock and roll at a young age, I may have turned out to be a freak...

Munich barely made an impact on me but we're not Jewish. I'd say RFK's getting shot affected me very early & then the death of Judy Garland...

For me it was the untimely passing of Jim Valvano...and I'm not kidding

In an unrelated note...check Duke Freshman Josh McRobert's reaction on this dunk by UNC's David Noel...even white boys got to shout

I've never heard anyone call MLK a commie before...
27th September 2006 07:07 PM
rasputin56 LOL! MLK a commie! Damn, you folks use that poor man for whatever suits y'all! The Maryland Repubs are now embracing him claiming that he was actually a Republican. Dr. Martin Luther King, Commie Republican! I think it's pretty safe to say that former presidential contender George Allen won't be embracing him, though.

glencar The Great Coulter...

It's just like old times. Bill Clinton delivers an impassioned speech, and within 24 hours the Web is bristling with documentation, establishing that nearly every sentence was a lie.

The glassy-eyed Clinton cultists are insisting their idol's on-air breakdown during a "Fox News Sunday" interview with Chris Wallace was a calculated performance, which is a bit like describing Hurricane Katrina as a "planned demolition." Like an Osama tape, they claim he was sending a signal to Democrats to show them how to treat Republicans. Listen up, Democrats: Let's energize the undecideds by throwing a hissy fit on national television!

The Clintonian plan for action apparently entails inventing lunatic conspiracy theories, telling lots of lies, shouting, sneering, interrupting, and telling your interlocutor, "(Y)ou've got that little smirk on your face and you think you're so clever" — all for asking a simple question. To wit: "Why didn't you do more to put bin Laden and al-Qaida out of business when you were president?" The only thing Clinton forgot to say to Wallace was, "You'd better put some ice on that."

Let me be the first to welcome Chris Wallace to the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy! If the son of Mike Wallace is a member, can Chelsea be far behind?
27th September 2006 08:08 PM
pdog Ann Coulter is now speaking on behalf people she despises!
If there is a liberal bias, why weren't they speaking up, challenging anything said pre-Iraq invasion. I can make a claim there was a right wing media bias then.
That would be foolish, there's no media bias, b/c the media in The USA is nothing more than a TV tabloid expose of anything remotely entertaining to pull in viewers. It works... There's a few moments where actual investigative journalism is being used, and for good. I only see it on subjects where party lines can't be drawn...
Ann coulter is succesful b/c she is outspoken, outrageous and in your face. How ironic that on a network that has a handful of such pundits, she is blasting Clinton for acting like they do on a daily basis.
I'm curious, has Ann spoken about racism in her party ie: Allen. I dounbt it. Why should she, she is biased!

That's not true.
I learned that despite my preconcieved notions, you guys are good people and patriotic Americans like myself. We have different views on politics, that's all.
You know that goes alot further than me voting the same as you.
27th September 2006 08:57 PM
rasputin56 Tsk, tsk, Ann Coulter, so full of hate. S/he's a fine waste of a hermaphrodite.
27th September 2006 09:06 PM
pdog Remember when Bush was cursing and talking with his mouthful, remember Cheney cursing out a guy on the fllor of congress?
If Clinton gets mad he's a freak...
If anyone has a problem with any of these three incidents you're a fucking naive fool. People in power, by definiton act this way, if they don't they would never be albe to achieve power!
Once again party lines and hypocrisy take center stage...
27th September 2006 09:08 PM
rasputin56 Big time.
27th September 2006 09:12 PM
pdog The only things that should be debated are how to best make sure we prevent the mistakes from happening again, and go one step further b/c the terrorist are going to go one step further.
Please excuse me if my thought is mutually exclusive to a political party!

Encourge democracy in the Middle East so these people have a future that doesn't include a bomb belt. This second one will take over a decade, mind you and the hope is that at some point the people take matters into their own hands. For instance, Iraq, Afghanistan and Lebanon thriving under demcoracy to the point that the people of Saudi Arabia, Iran and Pakistan make the same happen for themselves. This is the Bush plan and I like it.

I am going to have to insist that you no longer eat trans fats at lunch, and then post political.

There is no such thing as an Islamic democracy - its an oxymoron, like a lukewarm iceberg - by definition it doesn't exist. A thriving one? Haha, Maxlugar, do you know that you are borrowing from the TRUE thought crimes of 60s liberals?

Howe do you square this flower-power muffy stuff you posted with YOUR thoughts on Islamic culture, which I KNOW you share with me, as does Mao Fuji? Y'ins can't. You're rapped around some other dude's words - an idiot's words.

There are several models for howe to do this:

(1) the George Walker Bush III nation-building, cluster-fuck Iraq doctrine. We know that doesn't work now. No one even pretends to claim the liberal media doesn't report good news from Iraq anymore. There is none. Iraq is done, and believe me, I never would have believed that for a second even a year ago. We're fucked - no strategy to leave, EVEN WORSE no strategy how to stay. And I assume we want to stay. Its The Big Smolder.

(2) the George Walker Bush III Pardon Them doctrine. This may work, in some cases. To me it sucks, but I can gut check if it was applied consistent. Still seems weak. See George Walker Bush III pardon of terrorist killer of Americans Quadaffi. I never though Paper Tiger meant much - does anyone really believe they wouldn't have attacked no matter what we did? - but hey, maybe pussing out on a few terrorists works now and then. SeeGeorge Walker Bush III.

(3) The holding hands with Saudi Arabian useless scumbags doctrine - this may work. Give them money, ask them not to attack us. It didn't work on 9/11, but it seems to work now. The basic principle is make friends with Islamic Republics, by giving them tons of money to support their hideous countries - we used to do this all over the world - South America, etc., when I was young I used to think it was wrong - it is "wrong" in some sense - but its reality - we need to pay our way out of the middle east.

(4) The bomb Iran's newkyooler bomb and invade Afghan-Paksistan border dealie. Thats my short-long term idea. Get the work done and see how it goes. Why are some people against this? Oh yeah, they are Bush Geeks. Neber mind.

Who's keeping score? He drains it from 3! I'm telling you that white boy is showing it tonight!
