I have to say Marianne and Anita. Marianne was/is very intellectual, and his songwriting took a turn for the better when she allowed him into her world of books, etc...We wouldn't have "Sympathy for the Devil" if Marianne had not given him a copy of Bulgakov's "The Master and the Margarita."
Anita introduced them to the higher echelons and the artistic side of London society, such as Tara Browne, Robert Frazer, Michael Cooper, Christopher Gibb, et al, which had a great impact on their songwriting, their clothing, etc...
I also have the utmost respect for Shirley Watts - what a classy lady!
I just don't feel that Bianca or Jerry had any positive influence on the Stones' music. |
