The Stones are the living artist most prolific in the US history.
With the entry of "Sympathy For The Devil" on the Billboard Hot 100 at #97, the band makes history.
Elvis is the artist most prolific with 47 years and 6 months on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The first (Heartbreak Hotel) on March 1956 and the last (Rubberneckin') on September 2003.
But he's not alive and the Stones are the seconds with 39 years and 5 months between "Not Fade Away" in May 1964 and "Sympathy For The Devil" on October 2003 (the issue date is October 4th), becoming in the 58th hit of the Stones on the Billboard Hot 100.
But the Stones' record is more impressive, still: is the only artist with hits on the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's.
Elvis not have hits on the 90's. The band last hit on the Billboard Hot 100 was "Saint Of Me" on March 1998 reaching #94 with 4 weeks run.
Barbra Streisand is #3 with 32 years and 7 months, while The Beatles are #4 with 32 years and 2 months. |

Just wait until the Stones finally stop.
They'll then become greater than the Beatles and Elvis rolled into one jelly roll. |

They're already greater in the only book that matters. |
