Steel Wheels The backing bands may be stinky, but to hear those pretty chords in person is a dream of mine!

Soldatti It looks like a touristic tour for people of his age...

Steel Wheels I hope he sticks to playing the guitar instead of his home movies...

Mr Hess I wonder how many shows Chuck will actually show up for.....

PaulinCanada I saw Chuck play in August (2004)....it's like waiting for a train wreck to occur. He hires local bands, he hardly plays guitar, he sings pretty well - when he doesn't forget what song he is singing....he can hardly be heard in the mix, occasionally you hear the flash of brilliance that was once there...

After I went out and bought a DVD of a Rock n Roll show in London in 1972....Chuck was there, and guess what, he hasn't changed much in the 32 years between those events....

All in all, it was nice to say that I saw him, but don't go expecting a "great" show....

provided he gets his $$$ I'm sure he'll be there for all of them

I have been watching "Hail Hail Rock and Roll" lately - I love the stand offs with keith, firstly the one over the intro to Carol and then the argy bargy over chuck's amp settings

Chuck doing "I'm Through with Love" is really good - esp. with the banter that follows:

Chuck to Keith "You sure play some mighty pretty chords for a rock and roller, Jack!"

and 9again to keith)

"You should have been a jazz artist, Jack"

Also hilarious (and revealing)is the fact that Chuck seems to have remembered what he was paid for every gig he's ever done but can't remember when his wedding anniversary is!!

Stray Cat UK I saw Chuck in July.

His amp settings and playing were mostly awful.

He seemed to adust his settings for the last two numbers - Johnny B goode and Reelin' & rockin'. they were both great, even got the duckwalk on JBG !

I'd say see him if you get the chance. He virtually invented rock n' roll, but don't expect a brilliant gig, only flashes.
