Mathijs TPOTC has the same historical accuracy as Disney's Lion King, and so has the bible. Religion is a dictators' tool to supress people and a blindfold for third world countries which don't have anything left but faith. As Europe shed its dictators and lives in prosperity, faith is decimated.

gypsy does that mean we have to have a Catholic wedding?

I was thinking about doing the Vegas thing.

Actually the drive thru wedding chapel

gypsy tele, I'm not a practicing Catholic. I was just raised as a Catholic. I don't agree with all of their views. However, I do find it to be a great religion, where God is a kind, loving, and forgiving God.
But, no, no wedding. I say we just 'shack up' 'til we get bored with one another!

Keep in mind, "Unholy Trinity" is taken.

I, too, agree with your comments, Gypsy. Rather ironic how the world reacts negatively to anything with religious content.

I've always found it sad that many in the world criticize Christianity - a faith with beliefs that we all raise our kids around - loving, sharing, forgiving, understanding, etc., etc.

We reap what we sow.

don't get me wrong, I have absolutely nothing against people that believe! It's all about how we are right here and right now. It's about being the best possible person you can be. I do not need a god or a book to tell me how to do that.

I know this is a discussion that can go on forever.
But let's face it, for most of us it is all about what we were thaught by our parents. Whatever they said was the truth, we just "copied".

If you get strenght from your religion, good on you!
I however, can do without.

But really, i love you all!

Amen, brother! I couldn't say better.

P.S. How's life treating you in the Phocean city?

glencar egon, I visited Benelux back in '98. As soon as I made it into Belgium with my rental w/Dutch plates, my Bel. host told me that people might think I was a cheapskate as the Dutch are noted for that. For the record, I hadn't noticed anything of the sort.
September 13th, 2004 02:39 PM
egon gleny!

I'll tell you this my friend: if a dutch person offers you ANYTHING for free, don't say no, but take it immediately.

The best thing is to start running as well, cos chances are that he/she will change her mind and wants it back!
September 13th, 2004 02:41 PM
glencar LOL I found it fascinating that people who are essentially the same can spot these crazy differences. This guy & his family were Flemish & they weren't to crazy about the Walloons either.
September 13th, 2004 02:52 PM
egon for every country in europe you have these assumptions.
it's part of our history.

in the case of the dutch there i actually some truth in it,
but mainly in the business sence
i for instance would still burn you a cd for free.
(start running )
September 13th, 2004 02:55 PM

September 13th, 2004 03:05 PM
