Too Tough |
I know not everybody was over the moon with the way they did it, but it's good that the band finally did what we all knew they were almost certain to do on this tour. For those who say they weren't really into it and it was more of a response from fans...well, YOU'RE the fans that were asking for it, so you got what you wanted.
The song itself? I think it came off damn good. One of the things I noticed was a more pronounced country slant versus the studio version; listening to the MP3 for the first time, I was remined of Old Habits Die Hard...anybody with me on this?
No, I think Mick knows what album Sway is from. I'm sure the words "Sticky Fingers" got mentioned while they rehearsed this up in Toronto, so I doubt he genuinely didn't know. I reckon it's just him playing up the whole "I don't really take notice of the Stones history" thing, which I think is true of other songs (Just Wanna See His Face, Factory Girl, stuff from Between The Buttons, etc.)
So now that Sway has been played, what next?
Winning Ugly, anyone?
What do you think? |

it was played well...but Mick's original studio version was all him screaming his heart out...if he did that during the middle of the show, he'd have nothing left for later...the song is a voice shredder which is why it went unperformed for so long |

Flashpoint |
I think this song should be played more often during this tour, like if you can't rock me in the last one....i don't want this one to be dropped just like that.... |
