lotsajizz Colonel Tom Parker was an asshole illegal immigrant who hustled the King into an early grave with his carny mismanagement. That being said, today...Keith is cooler...but it changes every once in a while...btw, where's Dr. Gonzo in that list?

Saint Sway Keith are Bob are icons of cool.

But no one is cooler than Charlie Watts.

even Keith bows to Charlie. He is just the epitemy of cool.

Watts is so friggin cool he could start the second Ice Age if he sneezed hard enough.

Martha When I saw Bob at Hara Arena on November 2nd 2002 just 2 weeks after we caught the Stones play Nationwide (White Stripes opened)....he was already on the keyboards no longer playing guitar wearing the coolest of his black westernish outfits (with the 3/4 length coat jacket).

I remember all at once being overcome with Bob's coolness and I heard myself saying outloud......that man is the coolest performer on EARTH.

Then he played Brown Sugar.......

and that was that.

Bob will now and forever more get my #1 vote for the coolest of cool.

But I do bow to the other cool musicians of which there are many!

AND Thank goodness for that!!!

Saint Sway true story

Dylan was recording in a studio by my apt in NY at the same time that the Black Crowes were. One day, Bob walks in to the Crowes room and walks right up to Rich Robinson and says "Hey, um Rich, I just wanted to tell you that I really like your guitar sound. I really enjoy listening to you play."

so yeah, Bob is definately cool.

and Rich Robinson can now die happily.

Ten Thousand Motels Parker wasn't so bad. Elvis NEEDED him. Parker was an asshole, but he was our asshole. How could anyone survive in that Den of Wolves without a bigger wolf for protection. I mean the music business isn't exactly Sanitary...

the good I think Keith beats out Bob when it comes to coolness, or at least he did back in the day. Keith wrote Satisfaction, and contrary to what Dylan has said, he never could have written a tune that kick ass. And it bugs him!

PeerQueer They are both very cool gents.

Today we are dominated by celebrities - when Bob and Keith were coming up, it was the last era of the "star". They were, and are, very bright stars in an increasingly dull universe of posers.

I'd love to buy each one of them a drink - and take Dylan on at cards. (I wouldn't take Keith on at drink and drug because I would likely not come out alive of that one!)

And unlike some, I absolutely LOVE thier singing voices.

Character baby - get me interested in what you have to say by saying it in an interesting way, and you gots me hooked!
