exile Hi Sorry about the extreme title of this thread.

I am referring to a stones song I think is called "I need you"

It’s obviously a to an outtake I thought was called "I Need You" It has both Keith and Mick singing.

It’s a really great Mick sings "don’t want to fuck you too much"

Too me it sounds very Some girls

I was hoping someone here could give me some more information on the song

Great song. Besides the recording. Has become my temporary favorite.

yeah thanks!
I already have it, but it's a must have!
A friend of mine send it to me a few years ago, and I think it's one of the best outtakes ever

texile love it! its definately the some girls sessions.....
'i wanna fuck you too much,'
and then -
'i won't fuck you too much...'
but what is he saying in the chorus?
'you keep on saying that i love you tto,....'
??

James Burton Definitely one of my favourite outtakes - this along with 'Munich Hilton' (not sure which number - the electric piano is pretty evident though - Jagger sings partial 'vocals'.) Ganster's Moll is also great.

exile Thanks everyone for the information. much appreciated

Soldatti I love this song, it's very Beast Of Burden IMO.
September 26th, 2005 12:18 AM
texile 'i wish to hell - i never fell in love at all......'
the some girls sessions are my absolute favorite collection of stones songs outside of some girls and exile -
jagger was burning....
what about that one, half-instrumental/half-song...
a different kind? or something like that......
ronnie's steel guitar is excellent on this.

stonesmik According to Felix Aepplis "Ultimate guide for the first 40 years" (p. 176-177) the song "I need you" was recorded between mid-January and 2 March 1978 at the Pathé-Marconi/EMI Studios in Boulogne-Billancourt (near Paris). Interestingly he states the song is a. k. a. "Just because I told" and has KEITH MOON on the drums...

Egbert Shoot, I was hoping this thread had something to do with the lowering of ticket prices.

Keith Moon? would that be right?

I guess Billy Preston is on Piano....

Have any outtakes like 'I need You' or 'criss cross mind' ever been played live by the Stones? or not...hence the word outake.
