Mick Jagger Reportedly Dealing With Bad Back

Mick Jagger is said to be dealing with a bad back while the Rolling Stones continue their Licks world tour. According to the Evening Standard in London, "a pale and tired-looking Jagger" visited an osteopath last week for some work on his back. The paper quoted his spokesperson as saying, "[Jagger] goes to have his back looked at and massaged and manipulated. It's just to keep his back in shape. It's really because of all the running around on stage and leaping about. There is obviously a natural strain on his back because of that." Jagger's session lasted an hour, after which he was walking with "a new vigor."
The Evening Standard also quoted a friend of Jagger's, who said, "Mick isn't getting any younger--he's not invincible and is of the age where he has to start looking after himself a bit more. Andrew Ferguson is his trusted osteopath and he visits him when he can, but obviously, after the long strenuous tour, he needs him more than ever."
A U.S.-based representative for the Stones didn't think it was a serious problem.
The next show for the Stones is Monday (September 22) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Well, I'm not REALLY much of a Doris Day fan, except maybe her work with Hitchcock. I just think Mick Taylor looks exactly like her in Miss U's picture. Maybe it's the scarf.
I will patiently wait for your report on the Pistols - I read a few reviews at the Pistols' board, and it sounds like it was another one with assigned seating. WHAT the hell is up with THAT?
I've seen them twice and they were both free-for-alls!
Johnny announced that the end of the tour (the "Piss Off" tour) in Sante Fe was the Pistols' last show. But then he said "See you in Baghdad." I hope they DO play Baghdad, but if that's the last Pistols' show, hey - I saw them two more times than I ever expected to. |
