Ten Thousand Motels Help us plan a rockin' Renaissance
September 22, 2007
Cape Cod Times

When September arrives, so does the annual King Richard's Faire in Carver. Now in its 26th season, it allows visitors every weekend through Oct. 21 to experience life in a 16th-century English marketplace.

Recently, however, a slip of the tongue made us consider another possibility: the Keith Richards Faire. And that got us wondering what it would be like if the current fair maintained its medieval flavor, but the focus changed from the British king to the Rolling Stones guitarist. What types of acts would perform? What types of games would be played? What food and drink would be served? What would the costumes be like?

We're sure you can imagine the possibilities, which is why we're asking you, dear reader, to send us an idea, in 50 words or fewer, of what a Keith Richards Faire should offer.

We'll pick the best of the bunch, and if your idea is the top selection, you'll win a $50 gift certificate to Best Buy.

The deadline is Wednesday, so act now. Send your idea to [email protected] or Tim Miller at Cape Cod Times, 319 Main St., Hyannis, MA 02601. Be sure to include your name, address and phone number.

lotsajizz The Cape Cod Times is into thievery, eh? Providence's WHJY has done a parody of this for some fifteen years now...they even have a fake radio commercial for it..."Keith Richards' Faire" as opposed to "King RIchard's"...this is a ripoff by the Cape Cod newspapers....
