Ten Thousand Motels Mean Mick Jagger
Sep 15, 2007,
BANG Media International

Sir Mick Jagger is mean with his money, according to son James.

The 22-year-old aspiring actor has to work hard because his millionaire rock star father won't share his fortune with him.

James said: "I've got quite a tight dad! I know a couple of people who are quite rich, and compared to them, I've never really had anything much of an allowance.

"I've always had a summer job, and my first car was a banger I had to save up for. Dad was brought up to work for what he has, so it's always been that way for me."

James knows he will eventually get his hands on a substantial amount of cash from dad Mick, but isn't looking forward to that day because it will mean his father has passed away.

He added: "I'm sure one day I'll have a bit of money - but having it will mean my dad has died, and obviously that's something I don't want to think about."

Riffhard The more I read about James, and his quotes, the more I've grown to respect him. He seems to really have his head on straight.

Bitch I bet if James asked MICK for some money now, MICK would give it. But James seems the type not to ask. I know how he feels, I'm not inclined to ask for financial help either, I'd rather do without than to owe someone. If James has to depend on MICK for money at his age, than he isnt "making it" on his own, and he wants to prove to himself and his parents he can isn't dependant on the family name and money as his primary means of survival. But if he needed it, I know MICK and Jerry would be there in a flash, ready to rescue James. Good kid IMO. Smart, independant, and hopefully a talented actor! If not, he can always try singing, lol!

Highwire Rob = MEAN

quote:
Leona Helmsley's millionaire Maltese - who last week received $12 million from the Queen of Mean's will - needs legal representation if she expects to maintain her five-star lifestyle, a pet trust specialist said yesterday.

"Trouble deserves impeccable care because she's been left a large estate," [Rachel Hirschfeld] said. "The guardian needs to have the pet's best interests in mind."

Helmsley, who froze two grandkids out of her estimated $8 billion fortune, provided a $3 million trust for the eternal upkeep of her final resting place, where she hoped Trouble would eventually join her....

But then again, Mick should keep in mind:

glencar Good for Mick; he's a good Dad!

corgi37 Mick has given all his family enough. Good education. More or less stable homes (albeit, with a new "mummy" every night - hahahahaha). The best food. Swish holidays. Access to the best education. And, most of all, love and fun. James aint really working anyway. He's an "actor". Hey mate, go to a fucking foundry and do some work. Or lug bricks on a building site.

Mick has never really given his brother anything either. He might have helped here and there with a house or something. His old Mum & Dad didnt exactly live in a palace, but i assume he paid their mortgage as soon as he could.

What i'm saying is, in a very fucked kinda way, James seems ok. None of Jaggers many offspring have ever wanted. None have had to clock on and clock off. None have ever really had to do anything they didnt want to do. Mick has been (i guess to everyone's surprise in the early days) a great dad. He is obviously close to all his kids and they adore him. Even Jerry Hall as always said he's a great dad. He's still managed to live his life his own way without alienating his offspring, or stuffing them up. Unlike Rod Stewart's son, or one of Kirk Douglas kids, or Debbie Reynolds kid Carrie Fisher, or Marlon Brando's kids, or even, dare i say it, the Bush twins.

But, i think Keith is an even better dad! And who the hell would have ever thought that???

gotdablouse yes, all good points, James has all he wants except a pension (and we don't even know that), how sad would that be at his age !

hack journalism - just trying to get your attention - because its a non-story...
simply taken from someone else's article.
i agree though -
mick is probably the kind of dad that will give an envelope with $20 for a birthday.
but that is a good thing when you have that much money...
all his kids seem reasonbly level-headed.
corgi, i like carrie fisher, but that stewart kid is an idiot.

mirfälltkeinnameein hello!

but he said he knows rich people and "compared to THEM" he doesn´t get much. i´m sure he still gets more than most young people.

gorda If you give your kids everything, they will never learn to fend for themselves. I think that Mick is smart and wants his kids to learn how to solve their own problems.

P.S. Furthemore, if James is not happy with what his father gives him, I am sure there are millions of people who would gladly trade places with him.
