I was at the opening night FENWAY PARK Aug. 21 & 23 '05.
I must say, that beacause I was there, it's my favorite.
Both nights they were ON FIRE! I got the vibe so strongly that I would have felt at say, a 72 tour show had I been born/old enough then.

The Stones performed R/J like they were 23 years younger, as well as all of the numbers. Guitars hot and cranked!

glencar I saw the East Hartford show last summer & it was grand there. I haven't liked it lately. Please, they should replace it with IWTL.

Bruno Wasn´t Copacabana, for sure. Keith played ONNYA intro instead RJ. That was funny to see. And Ronnie played a totally out of tune solo.

VoodooChileInWOnderl Don't know but from the four I heard live and from the many recordings I have heard, none of them make justice to the crude great studio version from the album

luxury1 NOT Gillette last Wed. night. I was in front of the B-Stage, and Keith just couldnt seem to get it started correctly. Ronnie came over to stand in front of him, looking Keith right in the eye, very intently (which is a different "look" for Woodie), and kinda showed him how it went. Mick also was half-turned around, facing the guitarists hoping it was going to pull together. I was holding my breath...

Gazza Cant say I've cared for any of them, in all honesty. The version that was on rs.com when they opened the Phoenix club show with it wasnt bad, I suppose. the one on the Superbowl was ok too.

I liked the studio version, but they havent done it 'justice' in concert. Mick singing with that contraption around his head just doesnt look right to me. Its been a gimmick I personally havent warmed to.

I wish theyd drop it and play something else from ABB instead.

Honky Tonk Man To be honest, I'm not overly impressed with the song full stop. The live versions I've personally witnessed have been OKAY, but I've heard a couple where Keith fluffs the intro, which completely bemuses me.

I personally think it's the weakest album opener since Dance Part 1.

VoodooChileInWOnderl As an album opener is one of the best ever, but I inisist, the live versions don't make justice to the studio version, and I see Gazza agrees with me

What the hell is the point of it? Does it have something to do with a handheld not transmitting on the bridge ride? ... It's truly awful, whatever the case.
