Funny, first they ask ridiculous prices, then canīt sell them, and start making these offers. Why all this nonsense
work?
Why donīt they just sell tickets cheaper?Because now theyīve done the work twice, meaning more costs.
Its cheaper other way around. And tickets would really sell,
maybe even sold out shows. |

This is the new trend for concerts across the board. Die hards fans and ones who must have their tickets right away pay the most, then deals are offered to lure in more people who are still "thinking about it" if not outright given away for free. |

Even at a 50% discount the seats being offered are horrible. Last few rows of the upper level.
You'll get better value for your fifty bucks outside before the show.
Of course you won't get a t-shirt... |

Nope.
Check the regular TM page for the Giants Stadium show.
Search for 4 $99 tickets put you in the same seats as the special offer - Section 328.
$60 tickets are two sections over in 326.
BTW, the "Building Facility" and "Convenience" charges on those discounted tickets is the same as the $99 - $16.20 |

Sure, maybe NOW. But I'll bet dollars to donuts that those tickets have been repriced at $99 to give people the illusion of a deal. The best available 99s are still on the 200 level, and the 99s in the upper deck were only for the 1st few rows of the sections. |

I wonder what they'll do when the fire sale hits Oakland...
Sales her are horrendous... They had to pull out Metallica last time, cutting into their guarentee to sell two shows in SF last year... |
