Could someone explain to me what this bit torrent thing is all about? I seriously have no idea of how it works or anything. I always see this sticky thread about bit torrents and read that people is sharing bootlegs and things like that and I'd be interested in that too.
Please explain!
Thanks in advance! |

Cool, thanks!
I have also transferred several dozen more rare cassette and DAT recordings in anticipation. |

Hello Dan: what is for you a high speed connection?
Here, im my place, in Brazil, I have a 1024 kbps connection.
Until about four months ago my connection was 600 kb, but is not enough anymore, at least here.
You know, too many users, lack of decent phone companies. Fucking jerks...Oh yeah, i also changed my phone company, after 24 yrs using the same...
Now its working fine. I download lots of stuff in no time.

I downloaded the software and it was all good but I added some torrent files to download and the download process doesn't start. I added the files 3 hours ago and it's not downloading. I only see a grey bar and that's it. Am I doing something wrong? Anyone knows?

I think its normal. I'm trying download a Prince CD since last night and everything is just stopped, til now just 1 pct...Depends of the numbers of seeders of each torrent. And hey, Bitlord (well, at least to me) works much better than Bitcomet and others...

Make sure you've got your settings all fixed up and that you're downloading to the correct directory. It's a good idea to make a special folder on your desktop for the actual incoming torrents, but keep the small .torrent file in a separate directory such as "My Documents."
You also have to open a port as well as allow the application through your firewall. The link I supplied above gives you a lot of info about this stuff. This patch will assist you with your half-open connections (it's best to set it to 100 - that's all you really need) - and read the directions carefully before proceeding.

If you get into this torrent thing properly and you know which sites to go to, you'll never have to buy any software again (alledgedly....) |
