Looks like sales are dropping off for the new cd.Imagine what will happen if they release a live cd with another warhorse theme. Why not try something different?.Perhaps include only the new songs done during the entire tour and Nightime etc. Then mix in some sound check stuff. If us hardcore are the only ones buying cds then lets get what we want!.... |

That's probably not a bad idea. But why not just cut to the chase and release a couple of box sets? |

It'd be an EpP then as they've only done 4 songs off the new one & the 2 cover versions. |

I think they should incorporate stuff like that on the limited edition version. ("A Bigger, Bigger Bang"?)
-Add the two extra tracks from the sessions: Under The Radar and Dirty Ruckus (unconfirmed title). But mix the tracks into the album, similar to the bonus track on No Security. This way, the tracks won't feel 'tacked on', and fans won't be shelling out for the same, exact cd. Plus, this allows them to add an extra rocker between IWTL and ONNYA.
A bonus dvd disc should also be included with the following:
-The entire Phoenix gig. This alone would justify the double dip.
-The Press Conference. Raw, sloppy Stones at Juilliard is too good to be reduced to fuzzy online clips.
-Tour highlights. Similar to the Voodoo Lounge tour video. Mick going nuts on BOMH; She's So Cold; etc.
-Toronto rehearsal footage. Between live clips and rehearsals, they could present nearly the entire album live.
-Videos for RJ, SOL, and any others. Since this may be the only way we will ever see the damn things.
-Roundtable with JB and Michael Cohl. The look on Cohl's face as JB calmly informs him the tour is a bust would guarantee multi-platinum status.
Basically, let the team that put together Four Flicks cram as much as they can into 2+ hours, and set a new standard for what a 'limited edition' cd can be. |

better idea
how bout mick and keef just disband this joke of a recording band they call the Rolling Stones and just go their seperate ways and do some cool solo projects while they still have time
I mean its basically all they do now, but they wouldn't have to fight over getting their song submissions greenlighted by each other to put on "their" album |

heres a novel idea for the live album from this tour...
dont release one.
After all, theres been one from each of the last six world tours so it would be something different that hasnt been tried for quite a while... |

1975/76 tour - Love you Live
1981/82 tour - Still Life
1989/90 tour - Flashpoint
1994/95 tour - Stripped
1997/98 tour - No Security
2002/03 tour - Live Licks
the 1978 tour wasnt a worldwide tour and was the only tour since 1973 not to have produced a live album. The 1999 tour which was after No Security's release was basically a continuation of the 97-98 tour |
