Got all excited when I saw this on dime http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-details.php?id=60846&viewcomm=675727#comm675727 : "04 ANGEL GIRL 04:15 ( Goats Head Soup Outtake / Dynamic Sound Studios, Jamaica 72/73) " - an outtake I don't have !
Well "Angel Girl' is most definitely NOT by the Rolling Stones, a clever but pointless forgery by someone who made a song mixing up titles and sounds from the "Goat's Head Soup" CD...
Now back to real outtakes no one (or almost) has ever heard, when are the Steel Wheels outtakes coming out ? What ever happened to that 3CD Box Set the most amazing Vigotone Label were going to release back in early 96 :-(

Possibly, Vigotone were on a pretty good roll at the time with Stew, Brew and then Residue plus the excellent Macca tapes ;-)
I do know for a fact that "Gangster's Moll/Maul" from the 1989 sessions has been circulated among a very tight circle, maybe just 4/5 guys in the US, not sure why it never made it to the other fans...15 years sounds like a decent delay in any case. |

Gangster's Maul has to be pre-89! Just listen to it. |

Right, first recorded at Nassau during the ER sessions and appeared on the fabulous "Lonely at the Top" boot, but was attempted again during the SW sessions in 1989, that's the version I've been wanting to hear for 6+ years ! |
