Do you know of a film on a band that features Bill Wyman, Ron Wood and Charlie Watts (It’s not the Rolling Stones)? Also features Kenney Jones and John Entwistle (and it’s not The Who) ? Also features Ringo Starr (no - its not the Beatles) plus a few other ‘less well known’ artists such as Andy Fairweather-Low, Chris Rea, and Raf Ravenscroft (remember the Saxophone solo in Baker Street?).Don’t know?

Well, it’s Willie and the Poor Boys!

Classic Pictures announce the release of 'Willie & The Poor Boys' for the first time ever on DVD!

This band in concert was filmed in a 50’s style Rock ‘n’ Roll show at the Fulham Town Hall, London, UK in 1985 and was a concept based on an original idea by Bill Wyman which continued the charity fundraising for the Ronnie Lane Appeal for A.R.M.S. (Action for Research into Multiple Sclerosis) that began with series of concert in 1983.

"The one thing that we found with the video shoot was that everyone went in there with great spirits and really went out to have a good time," said Bill Wyman during ‘The Making Of’.

This film has been unearthed by Classic Pictures from Bill Wyman’s personal vault and will be a 'Must Have' for any collector of Classic Rock.

Wyman added - 'The word that seemed to permeate the surroundings on the shoot for 2 days was fun - everyone wanted to have fun!'

Tracks include Chicken Shack Boogie, Baby Please Don’t Go, You Never Can Tell, Let’s Talk It Over, Poor Boy Boogie, Saturday Night, All Night Long, These Arms Of Mine, Can You Hear Me

Special features include a documentary on the Making of ‘Willie & the Poor Boys’, a 30 minute behind the scenes ‘Making Of’ feature narrated by Bill Wyman.

There are also interviews with Kenney Jones (Small Faces/Faces/The Who), Ringo Starr (Beatles), Gary Brooker (Procol Harum), John Entwistle (The Who), Ronnie Wood (Faces/Rolling Stones), Bill Wyman and many more.

Mr Hess I taped it off MTV back in the mid-80's when it first came out.
It's not that bad.
