VoodooChileInWOnderl So you think only Ronnie paints?

Since nobody made a single comment about the current header I'm gonna make a post to leave this image up before I update his space at Rocks Off with more art.

This is the cover of "Rocket 88" and album recorded live at the Rotation Club in Hanover in November 1979 released two years later in March 1981 produced by Ian "Stu" Stewart; with Charlie playing on all tracks

Full Credits:

  • Ian Stewart: Producer, recording via the Rolling Stone Mobile, Tour Manager Piano on one track
  • Charlie Watts: drums on all tracks
  • Alexis Korner: Guitars, vocals and composer
  • Jack Bruce (Cream) - Double bass, vocals and composer
  • Bob Hall (Savoy Brown) piano on all tracks
  • Colin Smith: Trumpet and composer
  • John Picard: Trombone
  • Hal 'cornbread' Singer: Tenor sax
  • Don Weller: Tenor sax
  • George Green: Additional piano

The back cover's sleeve note is a long comment by Stu, this is one of them:

"Jack Bruce in particular played his ass off; and by the time "Roll 'Em Pete" ended the set, his fingers were bleeding profusely from playing double bass – something he has only rarely done in recent years.

Charlie designed the cover with this painting, the one we used as a header, the photo of this art by Red Daniells:

Nasty Habits Between the buttons started out as a joke and pretty soon descended into a farce.

VoodooChileInWOnderl I don't think "Rocket 88" will be available on CD as Stu, the producer is not interested
