The LEGENDARY Rolling Stones are currently #1 in these countries.
1/Germany #1
2/Italy #1
3/Canada #1
4/Sweeden #1
5/Switzerland #1
6/England #2
7/Spain #2
8/Argentina #2
9/Norway #2
10/USA #3
11/France #3
12/Japan #5
13/Portugal #5
Also, the Stones could enter the European charts as well as the World (shouldn't this be the definitive chart rather than the US chart?)chart at #1 this week.
Not bad for a band that played it's first show when John Kennedy was president of the USA and whose original bass player is 70 years old.
Will Kanye West, 50 Cent or any of these other shitheads be on top of the charts and playing to football stadiums all over the world in the year 2050 when they are in their 60's?
I think not!!!

Soldatti:
Any idea why the USA album chart is considered by many the benchmark album chart?
Shouldn't the world chart carry more weight (Isn't it better to be #1 in the world rather than just the USA?) and shouldn't the European chart at least be the equal of the US charts?

Just see the numbers:
#3 in USA: 129,000 copies
#1 in Canada: 16,000 copies
#2 in UK: 43,400 copies
#3 in France: 38,000 copies
#5 in Japan: 42,000 copies
A #3 in USA is way more important than any other chart in the world. |

There's still the question about World Charts. How about that for a benchmark? Especially for bands as the Stones, known and loved on all five continents... And I bet the scientists holed up in Antarctica listen to the Stones too, to warm things up! |

And how does it feel?
I don't trust too much in CDs made...around, you know.
My preference is for those made in US and Japan. Brasil quality is ok too.

Sales are at 400k world wide with only around 150k US. A massive disappointment and sad reflection on how irrelevant the Stones are to non-hardcore fans. This album will sell, ino, less than the 1.1 US copies of the dreadful B2B....... |
