Topic: Will We Ever Hear Emotional Rescue Return to archive

professor_gardner Do you think we will ever hear Emotional Rescue live? I am going to the Detroit show in a few weeks, that is my favorite song, is there a reason they never play it live? I would also love to hear in no particular order:

Memory Motel
Gimme Shelter
Mixed Emotions
Wild Horses
She's A Rainbow
She's So Cold
Time Is On My Side

full moon I agree!! I love the whole ER album....
09-22-02 10:45 PM
Boomhauer I'm going to that show as well.

I think they don't play Emotional Rescue because of the falsetto and they probably despise that song as well. I like it and they did put it on Forty Licks.

I would like to hear:

She was Hot (won't happen)
Let Me Go (puhleeze)
Hang Fire (*cough*)
When the Whip comes down (ummmm-hmmmmm)
Memory Motel
Winter
dance little sister
Love is Strong
Already Over me
Almost hear you sigh

All a pipe dream, though. lol

Rescued Yeah, I'd love to hear Dance Little Sister. I wonder why they never do that one. It seems like it would be a huge crowd pleaser and it used to get a bunch of FM airplay in the '70s. But I don't think they even played it except once or twice on the 75/76 tour.

KeepRigid I would love to see everyone (who got the $$$$ seats over the fans) attending The Joint in Vegas treated to an eighties theme.

Let Me Go
Emotional Rescue
Tops
She Was Hot
Feel On, Fuckin' Baby
Too Tough
One Hit (to the Body)
Mixed Emotions
Terrifying
For Your Precious Love
Sex Drive
Feel On, Baby (Slight Return)
You Got Me Rocking
The Worst
How Can I Stop
So Young
Anybody Seen My Baby?
Too Tight
Saint of Me

After the show, KeepRigid be the only one left in the place, but he standing and applauding loudly.

MidnightRambler I'm sure Mick COULD do ER, keeping in mind of the falsetto cuz he just did "Worried About You" at the Aragon. It's a great song and the should play it!

Also, "Dance Little Sister" is great! A lot of good tunes from the "IORR" album that they should do. "Fingerprint File" is one I think deserves to come back!

Scot Rocks ER, there are many other songs from the eighties I would rather hear than that, or in fact I would rather hear any other album than that. There are plenty of gems they could use of Tattoo You, Dirty Work, Undercover or Steel Wheels.

Sir Stonesalot Emotional Rescue?

That is not a Rolling Stones album. At least not from MY Rolling Stones.

I think they are gonna do the ER night for their one night stand in Hell.

I hear tickets are easy to come by for that gig.
