Water Dragon This just in from a pal in Cheltenham, regarding the loathsome bust of Brian:

"The situation with the Brian Jones bust is that it has been removed so a bronzed version can be cast. According to Maralyn and the manager at Beechwood shopping centre that was always the plan. I suspect that they have agreed upon this story; for the security people at the centre said that there had been a negative reaction to the bust, (surprise surprise) especially the golden hair. The manager at
Beechwood was adamant that no such negative reactions have been aired and said she was quite happy for the bust to return to it's present site. It will be interesting to see the new bust in a few weeks time.

Meanwhile there are plans to site the original bust elsewhere in Cheltenham. I'd be very surprised to see two
busts of Brian sited in Cheltenham, especially the (Maralyn) voiced choice of site for the original."
