Topic: best song of this Tour so far? Return to archive

speedfreakjive What do you reckon is the tour's best song so far, in terms of consistency and crownd reaction?

having seen them at Twickenham, and heard various boots, I'd have to say;

1. IORR - seems a conscious effort was put into this one! amazing breakdown/time change by Keith and the rhythm section at the end, and Mick better than usual.

2. Midnight Rambler - Definitely brought out for rennovation/refinement this tour, with it being one of the 'Warhorses'

3. Slipping Away / TPIE.
Keith was particularly good on these IMHO. Very soulful.

MidnightRambler "Midnight Rambler" still sounds like they only play every 9th show because it still rocks. I've never gotten tired of that song. This tour brought out its best versions.

How the hell can you screw Satisfaction's intro? It must be the easiest riff ever written! This is beyond my imagination.
