sandrew ROLLING STONES TO APPEAR IN FIRST LIVE CONCERT EVENT FOR
BROADCAST OR CABLE TV, EXCLUSIVELY ON HBO NEXT JANUARY

NEW YORK, Sept. 18, 2002 - The Rolling Stones will star in their first
live concert event for broadcast or cable TV, exclusively on HBO next
January, it was announced today by Nancy Geller, senior vice president, HBO
Original Programming. To be presented live from Madison Square Garden in New
York on Saturday, Jan. 18, the music event will feature the legendary band at
one of the last U.S. stops on its current Licks World Tour 2002/2003.
"The Rolling Stones are truly the world's greatest rock 'n' roll band,
and we're delighted that they've chosen HBO for this live TV concert event,
the first for broadcast or cable in their remarkable history," noted Geller.
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood launched the
Rolling Stones Licks World Tour 2002/2003 in Boston Sept. 3, with dates in
North America to be followed by shows in Europe, Australia and Asia. The
tour coincides with the Oct. 1 release of "Forty Licks," a two-CD collection
featuring 36 Rolling Stones classics and four new songs.

Sir Stonesalot Oh joy.

I don't get HBO.
09-18-02 11:55 AM
scope Enough of us do. You'll get a copy. Although I'll be at the show, there will be 3 VCR's at home taping that sucker.
09-18-02 12:13 PM
Sir Stonesalot No I really meant the Oh joy thing.

I get to go to someone elses house to watch it on a big screen with 5.1 surround sound!
09-18-02 12:26 PM

Hey Sir, can I join ya? We don't have cable either..just rabbit ears and let me tell ya, they suck!!!!

Glad to hear something will be aired though! By then I'll be in need of a shot of rock and roll!

Sir Stonesalot Hey Martha...if I'm not Joshy's date for the evening...and if the party is where I think it's gonna be, you'd be more than welcome to show up.
09-18-02 01:41 PM
Maxlugar I'll be there for sure.

Just hope Lil' Maxy or Maxine is born on time.

That'll give me three weeks to do the ol' "Yeah yeah nice baby blah blah blah..OFF TO THE STONES, HON!"

I hope there are special guests.

Like..oh...I don't know....lets see...

MICK TAYLOR!!!!!

Psycho Max (Father of the year '03)!

sirmoonie Hey Maxy, haven't you seen one of the ultrasound print-outs yet? If there is a little white mark like about the size of this ------------> '

then its Maxwell Junior. Otherwise, its Maxine.

Hope this helps.

"Its a wee little wee wee, Maxee!"

TomL We picked another good one to attend Nanky. Might hear some good shit.
09-18-02 09:28 PM
nankerphelge Yeah -- as long as that dick wipe Bono isn't one of the guests.
Mick Taylor would be fun.

And Max, don't get your hopes up -- I saw the same thing in an ultrasound once -- turns out it was a HER leg!

Can't buy me a Y chromosome in this household.

What a joke. I was looking at launch.com once, and they had an article that went something like this: "It's only rock 'n' roll, but Bono likes it."

Now, what the fuck was that all about? This show was about the Stones, not about some guest. How much more pathetic can the media get?
