Topic: Mick and L'Wren Attend Jame's Play: "Dads are very critical." Return to archive

SweetVirginia Jagger's Rolling in the aisles

September 07, 2007

MICK JAGGER rocked up to a tiny pub theatre to see his son’s acting debut and declared: “I’m very, very proud of him”.

The ROLLING STONES frontman laughed out loud as he watched actor JAMES in Lone Star and Private Wars, two anti-Vietnam mini-comedies.

James has won rave reviews so it seems there there could soon be another famous Jagger.

He is earning just £300 a week performing at the King’s Head Theatre, Islington, North London, where tickets cost £15.

A pal revealed: “James is brainy and Mick really wanted him to go to university. But he said no because for years his heart has been set on an acting career.”

Mick was at the theatre with leggy girlfriend L’WREN SCOTT — and a bodyguard.

He watched his son’s every move during the hard-hitting, often touching show then chatted with him backstage after the performance, left.

James acted in silk pyjamas and a stripey dressing gown and had to perfect a Texan drawl to play a hillbilly.

Perhaps he had speech coaching from his mum, Texan-born model JERRY HALL.

James admitted afterwards that he was nervous acting in front of Mick. He said: “Dads are always very critical.”
