Scottfree I don't udnerstand why we get BS, JJF, SFTD, HTW and YCAGWY every damned tour, every damned stop, but the greatest song ever made Gimmie Shelter isn't a staple. This is perfect timing to do it in dedication to the victims of Hurricane Bitch....Anyway see ya in CBus

Rizollin I'm sure some shitty pop act will cover it, and the MTV crowd will say

"Gimme Shelter, what a great tribute to the folks in Louisiana. Gwen Stefani can really write some killer lyrics."

the good I don't think they would want play it BECAUSE of the hurricane. It just isn't their style to get all serious and apocalyptic when people are already feeling down. For the most part, the Stones want to make their audience feel happy and have fun. Like in the concert for New York, they played Miss You, a great Stones in New York song, and Salt of the Earth, a tribute to hard working everyday people, the type who were murdered by those terrorist bastards. Playing Gimmer Shelter then would have struck a horrible note, and it would do so now.

Jumping Jack They are doing Night Time instead of GS as Lisa's featured song. She won't get to hot dog twice!!!

glencar I'd like to see them rotate the warhorses. It'd be an interesting way to see more than one show.

JumpinJackFlash I'm going to the Calgary show in October, I hope they play Gimmie Shelter there, I just love Lisa on that one.

Jumping Jack GS and MR should be substituted for Night Time and YCAGWYW at some shows (Atlanta and Duke in particular).
