Sleepy London Clown A reminder for those interested...

For anyone in England, there is a program on Tuesday on Living, Tuesday 13 Sep at 10.30, "The Psychic Detective" looking at the events leading up to the drowning of Brian Jones.

Byron Jones, from the tribute band The Rollin Stoned (some of you may have seen them at the 100 Club a couple of years ago, the night before the Astoria gig) is also taking part.

Here's the blurb..........

22:30 The Psychic Detective

Exclusive and compelling series in which leading psychic Tony Stockwell attempts to uncover new information about some of the most gripping and mysterious unsolved crimes. The former girlfriend of deceased Rolling Stones guitarist, Brian Jones, calls on Tony to help solve the mystery surrounding his drowning.

riccardo This was an amazing show.Trevor Hobley (who runs B.Jones fan club that releases the excellent fanzine Aftermath)was interviewed and said:
Brian has been embalmed, buried in a metal casket 10 feet down(freezing all time),Police will resume his body because the case has been reopened.
The Psychic Detective told Pat Andrews (former girlfriend)that there were 4 men when Brian died.He was wounded on his right side in his house and then carried by a big man and a small man to the pool where he drowned. A girl saw the scene from a window (Anna Wohlin?) but was threatened and sailenced. Two other man were looking from behind the pool.
But most interesting were the shots of Brian's room in 1960 in Cheltenham, the Crawdaddy, Richmond Station Hotel and Cotchford Farm(inside and the swimming pool)
DVD Recorded.

I'm not convinced myself that it was Anna Wohlin they were referring to..Hasnt she already spoken about her recollections of that evening?

The most interesting bit for me was the guy's theory about Brian sustaining a 'puncture wound' (possibly from a syringe) around the side of his body shortly before he died, which drew blood, and it seems this was missed on the autopsy.

Aside from that and the theory that the attack which resulted in his death actually took place inside the house and not in the pool, most of the rest of it was theories that we've heard before. The stories about people watching from the bushes, clothes being burned, the theory that Brian was killed in an argument over money (I think they hinted at it being builders or people working for him in some capacity).

To give some background to the programme...the psychic claimed to have no prior knowledge of who Pat Andrews was and therefore wouldnt have known it was related to Brian Jones, but was able to quickly deduce that he was a guitar player, that there was a significance of the number 27 (ie, his age), that he had been acclaimed in his profession, etc....he seemed genuinely taken aback when he said (not knowing that Brian was such a famous person) that the person contacting him had told him that he had met John Lennon on the 'other side'. Very weird stuff indeed.

Very interesting to see the parts where the psychic and Pat went to the home Brian & pat lived in in Cheltenham as well as the Crawdaddy (its now a cellar in a pub!)in order to 'feel his spirit' and to see inside Cotchford Farm itself.

At the end of the programme, they said that they had passed their info on to the police and that there are now plans to exhume Brian's body (which has been embalmed and preserved and should therefore easily offer more clues)
