Factory Girl I liked John Ritter also. I grew up watching him do Three's Company. I liked "8 Rules also".

Didn't his doctor tell him about his bad heart? 54 is pretty young.

RIP John Ritter. Thanks for all the laughs!

Sir Stonesalot I guess today isn't a good day for people named John.

My kid likes 3's Company re-runs. That makes Ritter OK in my book.

Peace & love to his family and loved ones.

Boomy I love the show "Three's Company".

Mr. Furley was a pimp.

John Ritter was a great guy, too.
09-12-03 02:20 PM
Factory Girl I liked his new show "8 rules..." also. There was just something about his goofiness that was comforting.

Also, it was so freakin' unexpected. RIP John Ritter.
09-12-03 02:22 PM
Boomy He was also in movies but most were never considered anything great.

He was in those Problem Child movies and I remember him in Stephen King's "It".
09-12-03 03:58 PM
Factory Girl "Dear Lord, with all this death you're sending, send some free heart-mending..."

song GodAM, Alice In Chains

Highwire Rob Joey, wasn't John Ritter in a made-for-TV movie back in the '80s about a Vietnam Vet suffering from the effects of Agent Orange?

I think he won an award for that--or he should have. Ritter is in a rarefied class of modern day actors who can do comedy and drama equally well. I will miss him.

LOL! - O.K. I found it: "Unnatural Causes"

SYNOPSIS

"The story details the struggle of a Vietnam vet who is afflicted with Agent Orange-related cancer and a Veterans Administration counselor who campaigns for V.A. benefits for vets with illnesses caused by the deadly chemical. Their crusade is hindered by continuous threats from the V.A. warning them to abort their lobbying, but they continue their quest." [www.rottentomatoes.com--the Web site name is not a reflection of the movie!]

Hmmmm... Actually I preferred Jacob's Ladder with Tim Robbins and Elizabeth (Caliente Babe ) Peña.

Paulcarr87 RIP John Ritter.

And just so this thread has some stones content, the stones were mentioned at least once on three's company! In one of the "Terri" episodes, the roommates are framed with possession of expensive diamonds and are asked to pay for them, the thief asks Terry "so what do you think of the Stones" her response was "I just loved their last album!!". Since that was about 1981, she must be referring to Tattoo You..

Stirring.

Maxlugar John Ritter was the son of a country music star, Tex Ritter.

Anyone ever hear this guy?

In John's honor, I will by a CD of his.

And then I'll know first hand if he's any good.

Because I'll be listening to him.

But if someone replies to this post before I get a chance to purchase a CD of this guy, I'll know even sooner.

I wonder which will come first.

Will I buy a CD of Tex Ritter....

Or will someone that has heard Tex Ritter tell me if he's good.

THE SUSPENCE IS KILLING ME!!!

Developing...

Max Ritter.
