kath excellent shot of roostah and roostahrette! i've always been fascinated by charlie's adam's apple. he is such a tiny little man, and his skin is so translucent that his adam's apple is really prominent. plus i see he put his arms around you..that's very cool.

congrats on that shot of you guys with THE MAN!!!

littleredrooster The photo was taken by The Stones advanced Security Chief at London Heathrow on Aug 21, 2003. Charlie was on my flight from Amsterdam to London. He flew with advanced security because he did not want to wait for the band's flight later that afternoon. Charlie signed all of my London tickets including the pair destined for Gazza and Martha My Dear for Twickenham on the 24th. We all have unique souveniers of this event. I motioned to Charlie while on the flight, requesting a photo and he declined. I was still very pleased to have Charlie on this flight. He signed all my tickets and commented that "Oh, these are not even used yet"
On our trip we used carry-on luggage to avoid the lines at check-in. The agent for BA refused to allow me to carry on because my luggage was too heavy. This set up our necessity to wait at the baggage carousel in Heathrow and as luck has dictated , Charlie and his escort were waiting there (no drums). I did not want to bother Charlie, but I did strike a conversation with his security/escort. As we waited, Charlie walked up to me and said,"Would you like that photo now?" Of course, I replied, "no way, you blew your chance on the flight!" YEAH, SURE! LOL
The rest is history! An extremely rare opportunity to capture the moment! I then floated from the luggage area anticipating the 4 shows to come !

MarthaMyDear ROOSTER AND ROOSTERETTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU BOTH LOOK FRICKING MAHVELOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU ********** SO ********** MUCH FOR THE ********** BEAUTIFUL ********** SIGNED TICKET and I am thinking about putting it in a display box of memorabilia that I can buy here, etc., along with my Ronnie autograph, etc.!!! It will at LEAST be in some place of honor!!! Right now, it is sitting ON my keyboard at the top of it while I type!!! lol............. :P I need to scan the pix of this show (my personal favorite, actually) and I'll post them as soon as I do that but it might take awhile 'cause I can't use my scanner on this broken computer I broke!!! lol............. :P I might have to wait until I get my new computer AND MAYBE get a new scanner but not that many pix came-out too good, unfortunately, EXCEPT one of Ronnie I am EXTREMELY happy about and one of Mick is good, IMHO, etc.!!!

Anyways, THANK YOU, once again, and I'll talk to you SOON!!! PEACE, TAKE CARE, and DO ROCK ON!!! PEACE!!!

*** Martha ***

P.S. (And, it was because Rooster and his friend were so nice to let me past them to take pix practically against the catwalk that I was able to at least get a couple good ones!!! ROTFLOL!!!!!!!! SHIT!!! My fault... ROTFLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P But, I LOVED that night, so THANK YOU!!!!!!! TAKE CARE and I'll talk to you SOON!!! )

LadyJane Great story, Roostah!!

Thanks for sharing! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!!

Between the photo and your story...I'm almost out of the deep depression that set in upon hearing the boys will not be returning in the Winter. I can't get past it. If I had the means......I go to China!!

Congratulations again!

Miss U. Wow, I can't believe he actually approached you & asked if you want a photo. My experience from being at Stones rehearsals just about every night last summer was that Charlie was not approachable or interested in photos or autographs 99% of the time.
Charlie's is the only autograph I do NOT have!! (besides Brian of course).

VoodooChileInWOnderl When Roostah sent me the pic he told me that the intention was to use it on the "Back to the USA" Thread. He added "The attached photo proves that Charlie isn’t afraid of his fans!!"

That's definitively a photo for a header, not just for a thread, just see Charlie's expression

This was the header
