a good friend and I were partying last week at my house and i put in Gimme shelter dvd and he was blown away. he now owns it and is a fan. He was wearing out that new led zep dvd and was convinced it was the best party dvd. but not now. i was shocked to see the dvd in his house. Stones rule |

Nothing like subverting ya mates, eh? heh heh. You still cant get Gimme Shelter here in Oz on DVD. My Mummy bought it for me in the U.S. over a year ago, and due to my dvd player not being world zone, i cant watch the sucker. But...that will all change next week. I smash into middle age, and a couple of my mates are buying me a new player that plays everything except 33 1/3 records. I'm dying to see the extra stuff and listen to the re-mixed sound. By the way, Stones in the Park was the movie that hooked me and my best buddy. I was really grooving along to it, until sympathy came on. I know it aint the best version, but holy shit, after it was over, after watching those dudes in the grass skirts, i was in tears. And this was at school (i was 16). Never looked back. And have annoyed friends and family ever since. My mission (similar to your successful one with your mate) is to convert as many people as possible to the Stones. Just as the stones couldnt believe over 40 years ago that people didnt dig the blues, so i have carried on since 1978, incredulous, that people dont dig the Stones. Even my mum likes some songs (not Star Star though). My dad's been a hard nut to crack, loving nothing but swing music, but i used to love showing him the 81 tour vid. That opening scene when the curtain gets pulled back revealing the 100,000 crowd used to stun him. I'd say "Dad, thats just an average crowd". He doesnt mind Melody from Black and Blue. So, keep up ya good work. You hooked one in, now go get another. MMmwhaaa ha ha. |

I am not really computer savvy-trading and all.but i got the DVD at Media Play in Atlanta.they should have a website. It is an Italian import and I nearly shit when I bought it.My wife was shopping and said she saw a Stones DVD but it was foreign. I rushed to see what it was, and proceeded to shit. i saw that film in the theaters many times in 82!i hope that this helps. Later |

Trades don't mean trade what you have, it means burns/copies what each other has.
Hope you have CD/DVD burner. I think I can tell you have a passion for the Stones thats what I like. I used to go over board and burn 20 free shows for people like you but like everyone, Stones, myself, I am growing older and don't really have the time spending entire weekends burning what I think you'll like.

I regret if I offended you, what I meant was I don't use computers that much. my wife just got this new one that appears to be better than the old and I am trying to figure out how to use it. I don't know how to burn DVDs or really use this email. Heck I don't even know my email address. but once I get it together I hope I can hook a brother up.
