Saint Sway Stones could of put out an album in the style of Modern Times (more roots, blues, folk oriented - coulda been a Beggars II, but I digress...) anyway... they could of put out a MT style album and not necessarily sold anymore records than ABB, probably the same amount, but would have had their dignity intact.

instead, they have an album that sold poorly and sounds like a total embarrassment.

I say show some balls, make a real record, care less about the pop charts and go out with a real bigger bang - making a solid record that you can be proud about that is representative of your legacy.

Wrong! I don't hate ABB (very decent album) but think Modern Times is just a little better...

glencar I amde a copy of MT for a Bob-loving pal. Guy loved Desire, Blood On The Tracks, all that stuff. He tells me the CD sucks. Sucks! I was like: "What happened? Usually my copies come out well." Nope, it's the music that sucks. Now I like it more than this other guy but if the Stones made this, I'd skip their shows.
