September 7, 2007

Ramones are set to release a new double DVD.

'It's Alive 1974- 1996' was four years in the making, with member Tommy Ramone serving as musical supervisor.

The discs feature four hours of rare and previously unreleased concert footage, and over 100 songs.

The DVD includes material filmed on New Year's Eve in 1977 during a show at The Rainbow Theatre in London, which was released in 1979 as the 'It's Alive' album.

Also featured in footage from 1982 show at the US Festival in San Bernardino, California.

The DVD will be released on October 1.

This is FINALLY coming out! We have known of it's existence for years but have only hoped it would see the light of day. This is the holy grail for Ramones fans.

MOre great stuff, saw this at Hollywood Forever Cemetary. Not a full set, like a 40 min festival set. Would also love to see something from Subterreanan Jungle (with live versions of Outsider, Time Bomb, Highest Trails Above and In The Park) but I doubt such a thing even exists.

This is a cause of celebration!

That pic is from my hometown, actually. The capital city of the world in ladders. We're going to build the largest ladder in the world so that we'll be able to climb over the Tijuana Wall and have sex with the gringas.
