Fantastic gig and the sound was fine from where I was, block B2- pitch, more or less with the amp stack facing me Apart from a few Keith fuck-ups (Slipping Away - oh dear!) the band were pretty much 'on' all night with Ron performing some good solos.
The audience, on the other hand, didn't really get it together until the B-stage appeared. After this, most of the pitch was up and a good portion of the stands from what I could see. The place looked pretty full to me also.
I would say that 'Rambler' was the highlight and received a lot of applause. 'Sympathy' was awesome as well, and featured Mick in full ass-wiggling mode on the ramp above the band!
Nice also to see Charlie hang about after the final bow, waving for what seemed a lot longer than usual!! |
