Youre fucking kidding me
There's one born every minute - no, scratch that, there's 12,616 born every week
I cant believe there's that many people in the US dumb enough to buy this when every song on it is already on 40 Licks which I'd presume they all have already (and many of them will probably be diehards who - quite reasonably enough - would have bought an import of the original 11 years ago)
Completely reiterates my belief that if the Stones released a 4 jam-jar set with a fresh turd laid by each member and stuck a $1,000 price tag on it and called it "Greatest Shits" , there would be people who would buy it just to say they 'had it'.
Am I right in saying that this album has charted much higher than "No Security" ?

How pathetic and to think the Stones thought Decca in the eraly 70s when they were coming out with "new" compilations like Milestones, No Stone, etc...someone put them out of their misery - old farts, actually I'm going to go and copyright this "Old Farts and Dirty Turds" - great title, eh!
soldatti, what's with this percentage business, 50% Monday and 50% Tuesday I gues, what happens the rest of the week? |

The numbers are from Monday 23 to Sunday 29 on US.
This site is building the sales for last week, half on Monday and half on Tuesday:
http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/sales/salescht.cgi
(you need registation, is free and easy)
The positions are almost the same that on Billboard, some spots down or up depending of Soundscan exact numbers.
For example "Forty Licks" got the same positions (#2) on this site and Billboard but the final sales were a little different on the first week: 315,000 vs 310,000 (the official).
"Goddess..." position was #36 on this site and #39 on Billboard with very few sales differences.
The information is almost 80% the same that on Billboard. |

I think we (almost) all have made a great mistake NOT buying this record. The songs on Junp Back have a different order compared with 40 Licks. These 12.616 people can't be wrong. Come on! You skinflints! |

They are counting the sales on the BIG MARKETS now, here the Stones not are very big. I remember when Forty Licks was #1 the first day (small / independent stores) and the second day of count Elvis got high sales on places as WaltMart and Tower and he stole the #1. |

A great sales figure for this thing. I don't know if that #27 will be the official position but almost sure that the album will be Top 30 on Billboard. |

>Gazza! re: Greatest shits - Are the jam jars individually numbered?
I understand that there will be a limited edition "release" (if you excuse the expression) which will contain "numbers" (ditto) on each jar, embossed in matching brown colour with the lapping tongue logo. Only 1,000 will be made available.
These will only be available to premium members of the fan club, for an extra $10,000 per jar. If you buy the set of four, the cost will be $80,000 in total (rs.com offers you, the loyal fan, a bargain at twice the price).
These will indeed come with a guaranteed certificate of authenticity, signed by some secretary, indicating the band member and place, date and time of the dump in question. IN a novelty twist to appeal to Stones fans everywhere, as we know you all like kitschy gimmicks, it will be a musical certificate which plays "Turd on the Run" whenever unfolded.
Of course, as this means that each member of the band has to lay 1,000 'cables', these stools will take a long time to get to many people as they will be collected freshly by Michael Cohl's staff after every bowel movement. So, its in your best interests to apply early, as shitments, sorry shipments, will be made on a first come first served basis.
Of course, the most sought after serial number in the collection will be, for obvious reasons, "number two"
