TheSavageYoungXyzzy Taylor: Could handle his addictions and still play wonderfully.
Ronnie: Couldn't.

Taylor: Let it destroy him.
Ronnie: Didn't.

Taylor: Cleaned up finally after losing everything.
Ronnie: Cleaned up finally after realizing (and having others realize for him) how terrible he was doing - before losing everything.

Taylor: Is the best technichal guitarist they've had.
Ronnie: Invented and perfected the Keith Weave. Gave the Stones's best tour (75/76), behind a crap album that somehow sounded great live.

Taylor: Stood like Bill, stone-faced, playing as if it was his job. Didn't really associate with anyone.
Ronnie: Played games with Mick, Keith, Charlie and Bill live, made funny remarks, became mediator between and best friend to Keith. Coined the term "Ol' Bum-Rush Jagger". Tried to get Keith down from the cherry picker during "You Can't Always Get What You Want". Actually *enjoyed* playing.

Winner? You can't reach a general consensus - but my vote goes to Rahhhhhhnieeeee Wooooood!

-tSYX --- I saw her today at the reception...

Are you sure you've got those right? Taylor fitted in? The reason he *left* the Stones is because he didn't fit in.

-tSYX --- But all I could ever hold inside my mind were thoughts of you...

Soul Survivor Taylor is a good guitar player, but for some reason, he remindes me of a "deaf, dumb, and blind kid"

I wonder if he's good at pinball
