And to those die-hard Marlins out there...they deserve a better owner and bigger crowds. Why can't the Red Sox get a pitcher like Sanchez?

Another great Marlins story....we have the lowesrt payroll in baseball. yet, only 2.5 out of Wild Card. the NL's lowest ERA, a group of great young players, and perennial all-star in Miguel Cabrera. This is the 4th no-hitter in team's short history. |

At the time, when the trade for Sanchez was made, Red Sox have seven pitchers on the bubble in the AAA & AA minors. Sanchez did not project to go as far or high as the other six. If you look at his stats compared to Papelbon, or Lester, who were projected in front of him, they are less.
Even two of the others who have made the bigs have more power stats than Sanchez. It shows what the AL has for players. It's not a wonder he's thriving in the NL, which stands for No League, they can't win World Series in six years, they've not won an All Star game forever. In fact, it should be called the players extention league, as every AL player who goes to the NL is about guaranteed to extend their shelf life, see P Martinez, B Arroyo, etc. Sanchez will do just fine in the NL. Does he have a green card? |

The Marlins are playing very impressively for such a low payroll. More teams should follow their lead. Till then. . .Let's GO Mets. . . .best fucking record in baseball!!!! |
