FotiniD Great comradeship. Playing in the world's greatest rock 'n' roll band with your friends. And they call this a job? They're actually getting paid for it?
September 7th, 2005 05:35 AM
beer They're scalping Stones tickets on Ebay.

Probably " Jaggerbombs " !!!!!
September 7th, 2005 11:20 AM
throbby Most likely laughing at us for responding to the "Help the Stones with their Setlist" bullshit on RS.com

It must really suck being a legend, no longer able to take chances on stage.

"By all means let's play it safe, got a reputation to uphold you know."
September 7th, 2005 11:22 AM
nankerphelge I'm sure if you plotted it, the songs we are hearing are the majority of the requests they are getting!

If they ever played High & Dry, 99% of the audience would wonder what the hell just happened!!
September 7th, 2005 11:32 AM
throbby You may be correct Nanker. There are plenty of other lesser played yet better known songs than "High and Dry" to choose from though. The least they could is alternate with a couple more Bigger Bang cuts. If the stadium masses want hits fine, but give the hardcore a theatre bone or something.

Like Mick says, what a "crock of shit"
September 7th, 2005 11:34 AM
nankerphelge Agreed!

I got the official tour program, and it includes a series of pix (not unlike today's header) with the dry-erase board COVERED with some gems.

Yet...

1) SMU
2) YGMR
yadda yadda yadda
21) IORR
22) YCAGWYW

LOL!
September 7th, 2005 07:35 PM
sammy davis jr. At this point, do they really still need to post what key the song is in?
September 8th, 2005 06:24 AM
luxury1 These header pics are killin me!! SO damn funny!
Someone put this one (MIck and Ronnie) on the official RS.com website, on the message boards. I hope the Stones see it.
I swear they are playing Shattered for Doug's Board, and ROcks OFf for the Unholy Trinity. THey are, stop laughing.they read our stuff, I just know it.
September 8th, 2005 08:26 AM
VoodooChileInWOnderl LOL I don't think they play Shattered and Rocks Off for us, but probably Shattered was included in the tour because of Shidoobee the phenomena

If that's the case in the last show Shattered out / Rocks Off in

Anyway, this was the first header on this series

Photos by Frank Micelotta with special and a bunch of thanks to Gypsy both spoiled by this sick voodoo kid in the land of wonder
September 8th, 2005 08:41 AM
throbby Boy, I sure was negative yesterday. Must keep work angst out of my posts.

What I will say in defense of the setlist is that it is being played with an intensity that I haven't witnessed since '78. In '78 the show I saw lasted 75 minutes, so I guess things could be worse.

Long live the Rolling Stones!
